The black M510 Wireless Mouse from Logitech is a full-size wireless laser-grade mouse that features a scroll wheel, with left/right scrolling, as well as forward and back buttons. Laser tracking allows for multi-surface precision tracking, and a leave-in USB receiver lets you enjoy wireless freedom. The USB receiver supports Unifying technology allowing you to connect other compatible devices (available separately) to it, eliminating the need for additional USB receivers. This mouse offers programmable controls to customize button functions. Soft side grips and a contoured shape allow for comfortable use. This mouse is powered by two preinstalled AA batteries that last for up to two years depending on use. The mouse also has an On/Off switch to conserve battery life when not in use.

I wish it can in a USB c version, but this is a great mouse. The only downside is then left-right movement of the wheel is very slow. Other than that it is a smooth, responsive experience.

This wireless mouse is great for frequent use. I use a desktop PC for personal and work, and get a lot of mouse distance using 2 monitors and lots of programs at once. + No trouble tracking at all on desk surface. +/- Ergonomic feel. I’m right-handed; left-handed users may have trouble with the left-side forward back thumb buttons. + Right/left mouse buttons and scroll wheel function as they should + Thumb forward/back buttons and left/right scroll wheel click are not getting much use (yet), but could be great features for a specific purpose. + Logitech’s Unifying Receiver is dynomite technology. I purchased a Logitech wireless keyboard at the same time, and having one tiny nub of a USB connector (on a backside USB port) for both is a useful invention.

Logitech is the only mouse I ever buy. Feel on the M510 is little different and slightly bigger than what I was using. Last Logitech mouse lasted years, with no problem. I expect the same here. I use the mouse without a pad on an oak desktop, never have any problems except when pads on bottom get dusty. Excellent mouse product.

The M510 mouse is great for all uses. It’s comfortable in my hand, puts the side buttons right where I need them, and uses very little battery power. The USB receiver is tiny and stores INSIDE the mouse for portability. I also like that I can turn it Off and On to save even more battery.

Right now I have two M510 MICE. I may buy a third one to replace one that is a couple of years old.

Great features, feels great in the hand, easy to grip, one of the best mice I have ever used.

As a freelance graphic artist, I often have to work in someone else’s office. I needed a mouse to travel with. I’ve been VERY happy with my Performance MX, but I had some monetary constraints for this purchase. The M510 works well. My only complaint is that it is a bit smaller and therefore not as comfortable as the MX. But I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

What’s not to love? This two button mouse rocks. The scroll wheel works sideways too; push it to either side and it’s like scrolling sideways. I use it on a plain wood surface and it’s run for several years now on the same batteries. Never skips. I bought a second just in case… I like it that much.

More features and easier to use than mice I’ve had before. the ergonomic shape is super comfortable

My users love the feel and size of this mouse and insisted on it when their old M510 wore out after years of use.

I wasted my money on this mouse. I was looking for a programmable mouse where I could make the right click button the “back” button. After trying to find out how to do this I called customer support only to be told that it was not an option. I had a logitech mouse 10 years ago that could do that so I assumed this one would.

The design of the M510 mouse is pure Logitech. It works well, mostly. It’s simple & basic yet it does everything it should do without extraneous & distracting bells & whistles. THAT SAID, it’s not overly durable long-term. My first one started double-clicking in less than two years and thus had to be thrown away. Communication between the mouse and the dongle is a bit iffy, too. An unobstructed line-of-sight connection between the mouse (and keyboard) is essential to have reliable communication. Much worse, however, it turns out that different editions of this mouse apparently use different wireless communication technology, the newest being, apparently, Bluetooth. Even though my old mouse was also an M510, the new one absolutely would not work with the same dongle as the old mouse, my old K270 keyboard wouldn’t work with the new dongle, and neither would work if both dongles were installed in my computer. So I had to buy a new K270 keyboard to be compatible with the new mouse. Cute. There is no indication whatsoever on either the mice or keyboards that they are in fact different and incompatible and thus a problem. Same model numbers, no version numbers, nothing in the description, or anything. The ONLY indication of difference is the logo on the dongle is different. Logitech has a long and sorry history of making good products at a reasonable price that are poorly supported with plenty of gotchas. Beware.

We bought two of these to replace lousy old Microsoft mice that had the nasty habit of the cursor failing to follow mouse movements and then suddenly jumping. I’m very happy with this Logitech. Fits the hand great, works on any surface, and is accurate. Can’t ask for anything more, and as usual B&H was super in fulfilling and getting us the order in two days at no charge.

I own two M510’s. I use a laptop as my main, and only computer. One M510 stays at my desk; the other is always in my laptop carry bag (so I can’t forget to take it). A single Unifying Receiver is always plugged into my laptop, and a spare (only because the second M510 came with one and I didn’t need it for my application) is carried inside the M510 (in the M510’s battery compartment) in my laptop bag. The Unifying Receiver subset of Logitech’s SetPoint software makes it easy to assign both mice to the same receiver. Ergonomics, design, and operation of the M510 are excellent.

Excellent compact and reliable wireless mouse. Bought it to replace another wireless mouse that was giving me trouble with my MacBook Pro 16.
