I have been seeking a fully-featured wireless mouse for the past two weeks and have finally found my optimum choice in the Logitech Wireless Mouse M510. The attributes I sought out included the following: 1) Full-size and ergonomic shape. I have fairly large hands, so most notebook mice cannot provide a sufficiently comfortable experience for long periods of usage time. 2) High battery endurance. I prefer a wireless mouse that minimizes battery replacement to improve overall convenience and reduce my dead battery collection. 3) Laser technology. A setting of at least 1200 dpi is necessary to track subtle movements, which are particularly important for graphical applications (i.e. solid modeling and photo editing software). Laser technology also allows for usage on most surfaces. 4) Inconspicuous wireless transmitter. I find great appeal in a low profile wireless transmitter, as it saves the user from having to remove the device from a notebook during travel. While many other competing products from Logitech offer appealing features such as hyper scrolling and any-surface tracking a la Darkfield, they each carry their own weaknesses as well. For example, I considered various notebook-class mice, including the Anywhere MX and the Marathon M705, yet as a person with fairly large hands, I determined that they were simply not large enough to use comfortably.

I bought this mouse the other day and I was honestly surprised at how great this mouse was. I’m a PC gamer and this is by far the smoothest wireless mouse (that I’ve used). I was playing Black Ops and it easily increased my kill/death ratio by at least 1.0. I also tested the accuracy on DOOM (best way to test mouse accuracy) and I thought it was as good as some of the expensive gaming mice I’ve used. I also like the 2 YEAR BATTERY LIFE. I would DEFINITELY recommend this mouse to anyone who wants a quality wireless mouse. 5 stars.

Bought this because I was looking for a cheap mouse but didn’t want to suck. When I try to save money, I want to save it on look and feel, not function. That’s what this does. The plastic, the weight, and the clicks feel really cheap. But ergonomically and functionally, it’s great.

My old mouse finally died and I considered it a 5 star. I rated this replacement as a 4 star because of the different placement of the forward and back buttons. Other than that it does what a mouse should do. I would say, however, that the forward and back buttons are what I like most on a mouse.

I thoroughly enjoy this product because of its reliability and ease of use. I have been using this mouse on a near daily basis for about 2 months now and have yet to encounter a flaw. With the compact inner storage of the USB connection device it is very easy to travel knowing that the small piece will not be lost. Recently I have been spending long hours on the computer for work and am happy to say that the ergonomically sleek design of the mouse has been refreshingly comfortable. The grip of the mouse is aided by the rubber-like material used on the sides, which makes it all the more easy to use. The extra buttons took little time to get used to and do not impede on the ease of use. Lastly the indicator light on the top of the mouse adds to the peace of mind of the product, in that I know when the mouse is connected and ready to go. I have yet to have to rely guesswork or trouble shooting to use the mouse making it a 5 star for me.

When you use the wheel it seems to have something that is catching every revolution. It works ok it just is a hinderance to the free spin of the wheel.

I use this mouse for graphic design. The battery life seems great and it’s very versatile. I especially like the space to put the wireless adapter in the mouse. I’m used to the Mac magic mouse and I feel it isn’t as smooth but still works great.

prior to the release of the newest mac mini i purchased a late 2012, added a M510 mouse and 16 gig of Crucial ram. that is when the kernel panic crashes began. after 4 chat sessions and 5 visits to the @, including overnight testing, after swapping the apple ram back in, replacing the Crucial ram, it was determined that this mouse was the cause of all the problems. i have been using an apple mouse for 3 weeks without another kernel panic crash. apple recommends this product by listing it on the store website and they were quick to blame my Crucial ram, my Samsung monitor, my external WD drive and my Anker usb hub when it was the M510 found on there @ site that was the root of the problem.i enjoy the mouse and wish it would work without crashing the computer. beware if you choose to purchase.BTW B and H continues to provide the best service and pricing on all the products they sell. B and H rocks.

Good functionality for the price. Small dongle that allows for connection of other devices. Good ergonomics. Large side buttons. Good laser tracking.

I was using the Apple Magic Mouse and was totally disgusted with it. Overly sensitive touch for back and forward operations frustrated the heck out of me. Also the location of the charging port on the underside makes the mouse unusable while charging. The Logitech M510 wireless is a much better option. It performs very well and is extremely comfortable. I use one on my Windows machine as well.

Great scroll speed… Not too heavy for a wireless mouse… Little latency…

I have too many cords as it is so I decided to bite the bullet and get a wireless mouse. I’ve used this brands before and was not dissappointed and I wasn’t dissappointed with this one either. I hanve bif hands and was happy it fit my hands well. Its responsivness is good even on a white terrycloth towel I have in my table. Getting it to work was as easy as plugging in the little wireless adapter to one of my rear USB ports and pulling the plastic sheet out of the battery compartment. It’s easy to clean too as it’s fairly smooth. I like the side buttons since they’re not in a spot where it’s easy to accidently hit them. I haven’t had it long enough to judge the battery life which is an important issue, but it is working fine so far with the factory supplied ones. Time will tell. The mouse wheel is solid feeling and smooth but could be bigger.

This is a solid mouse. It’s easy to use and had more features than a standard mouse. I wanted a mouse with side scrolling and thumb navigation buttons without a hefty price. The Logitech M510 was a perfect choice. There are only two very minor grips with the mouse. The clicks are pretty loud, so don’t plan to be discretely playing WoW during a business meeting or in the library. The other gripe I have is that the scroll cannot be set to a smooth roll and is stuck on interval clicking roll (I’m not sure how to describe that. I hope it makes sense). That being said, the scroll feel good regardless and the side scrolling isn’t so sensitive that the middle click becomes difficult. Otherwise, the mouse feels great and I love how small the USB is so as to not protrude too far out of my laptop. I don’t even take it out when traveling for the most part. Overall, the Logitech M510 mouse is a great mouse with good features and feel for a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Finally! A leash-free mouse on my desk! I should have done it a long time ago. The mouse is extremely comfortable and accurate. In the days of batteries not included it was a pleasant surprise to find two brand new Duracell AA batteries already installed inside. I really like the next page/previous page buttons on the side. So convenient! The scroll wheel also scrolls horizontally for those extra wide pages. All clicks are solid and provide good feedback without excessive noise.
