I love it, the best keyboard I have ever owned. I prefer the wired one, that way I never change batteries.

For a long time now I’ve wanted a backlit keyboard that I could use in the dark. I can type fast on a keyboard but I’m not a properly trained typist so sometimes I need to look at the keys. I was dubious going from a wireless KB to a wired one but it really didn’t make a difference. This is a great keyboard. The longer key presses make a huge difference and its very comfortable to type with. All of the extra function keys are used by holding the FN key and pressing another key like how Laptops are set up. This saves space as there are no useless extra keys lengthening the keyboard and taking up space on your tray I’d say the only real con is that the Home/Del/End/Insert keys are not in the standard format which would make someone who IS classically trained in typing frustrated. But it was a non-issue with me.

This is a very nice keyboard – the backlit keys allow me to work in dim light situations where. The keys have a very nice and positive touch.

Nice and bright, but not too bright. I still have a lot of features to use (try). I’m not sure if they are great ones. I have only used plug-n-play right now and that gives me all I think I need.

I love this keyboard! Logitech got it right. Very thin design that looks great and makes for very comfortable typing. Logitech’s PerfectStroke key system feels great. The keys have a very positive feel with just the right amount of travel and resistance. Feels like a laptop keyboard, which I’ve always preferred. The illuminated keys look great and really help in dim lighting. The very small connector cable is nice. It makes for a cleaner installation. The rubber feet underneath that prevent the keyboard from sliding around on a surface are super. They hold the keyboard in place like King Kong’s grip. Need I say more? Buy it!

The best thing about this keyboard is the action and feel of the keys. Illumination is a plus. The only bad thing is I don’t like the convex space bar but not a big deal. Still love this keyboard. Volume and mute keys worked without installing software which was nice.

Variable light brightness. Only lights up the keys not the background. The keyboard is so slim which lowers the height. The tilt could be a raised little more.

A must have for those who edit photos. Well made with enough light to work with, but not so much that it burns your eyes out.

I used to have a small incandescent light bar above my Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard, but it stopped working and I could not find a replacement that suited my environment. The keyboard’s blackness and the deliberately dim light in my office, plus its unwieldy size, made me want to go another way, one where I could actually see which key was which. Because of excellent experiences I have had with a wide variety of other Logitech products, I decided on the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard. They offer wired and wireless versions; I went with the wired because I have plenty of USB ports to spare. It is wonderful, absolutely wonderful. It has a very classy look, thin with a surrounding bezel of clear plastic. It has a small wrist rest and very small feet in the back to give it a little tilt toward you. You can adjust the backlighting to three levels or completely off; the second-brightest level works well for me. The SetPoint software allows you to deactivate certain keys — like that pesky caps lock, and turning it off is a godsend! The best thing about it, however, is the overall design and quality of construction. It is much more similar in feel to a laptop keyboard expanded to full-size; remember, laptop keyboards are built to outlive the computers they’re attached to, and this feels so sturdy and smooth that it will likely do the same. The keystrokes have a very slightly longer throw than most laptops to protect your knuckles from impact, and the touch is light, extremely responsive and predictable, and somewhat clicky, which I love. The quality of worksmanship and material is truly top-notch, by far the highest I have ever seen in a keyboard. I am a VERY fast typist, 120 wpm. This keyboard has made me even faster. It is very responsive and after I got over the readjustment from the Microsoft Ergo design I am now typing at light speed. Lastly, I have considerable experience with Logitech’s customer support, and I believe that it may be the best in the entire business world, not just the IT business, but of ALL businesses of all types. They truly bend over backwards to stand behind their products. I would recommend this keyboard to anybody anywhere.

This keyboard replaces a flimsy, inexpensive one furnished with a new computer. I am very pleased with it weight (does not slide around), quality, and the feel of the keys. The backlighting of the individual keys is the main reason I purchased it. Though I am a touch typist, in dim light I can now place my hands in the right spot initially and avoid typing a few words of gibberish. It is also a great help when hunting for those odd keys – special characters or function keys – that require a glance down at the keyboard.

I often work in a dimly lit or dark room editing or grading color in DaVinci Resolve. The backlit keys are just perfect for this; easy to see, but not too bright or distracting. The key action is quiet and perfect to the touch. The whole of the keyboard is very thin, but solid, so it stays in place. It’s definitely one of the best-looking keyboards that I’ve owned. The design is simple and every detail is perfect, down to the font used on the keycaps.

Sleek and thin. I use it in a dark corner of my family room. I used to have to use a light and the glare/reflection from the keys made it difficult to type because my eyes aren’t so good.(I have to look at the keys to type). With the lighted keys I see them better and do not need alight. Also the action of the keys smooth and feels great! I do not use the speciaity hopt keys soI can not comment on them.

Like many, my computer is in the bedroom. Late night sessions meant hunting for keys by the light of the monitor and keying slowly to keep the noise down. More time wasted than productive. It became obvious a new keyboard would be needed. This one met all requirements for an acceptable price. It was a pleasant surprise when it arrived. It’s solidly built. Despite its thinness it has a surprising weight that prevents it from shifting around under fast typing. Its laptop-style keys require less travel and finger extension, which suits me fine. The illumination is mostly uniform and is controlled with a dedicated key (four levels of intensity). I didn’t bother to install the included software because the extra media functions weren’t needed and because it’s Windows-only. Al-in-all I am perfectly satisfied. Be aware that this keyboard is not for gamers, but for those who might prefer a laptop-style keyboard– typists.

One of the best keyboard I have purchased the last five years.

This is quite an elegant design. Key action is good and quiet. Illumination is pleasant. After using one for a year I bought a second one for another computer.

Pros: nice keyboard, illumination is excellent, just what I wantedCons: bottom row of keys is a little stiff; the spacebar especially, but it doesn’t really bother me…

3 illumination levels plus off allows for natural look in any lighting conditions — or you can brighten it enough to say look at me! Smooth, quiet keys even when hit off center. Wired keyboard is proving to be faster and more accurate than my Logitech MX5500. (The mouse of that combo works find in conjunction with this keyboard).

I’ve owned many keyboards in over 25 years of keyboarding and this is the best yet. I need the extra light and it delivers a beautiful illumination in low or no light settings. Got a parent who computes? You now have the greatest gift of the season at a small price. I even bought a backup so I would never be without my Logitech Illuminated Keyboard. Maybe I’ll live long enough to see a wireless keyboard with such great lighting.
