The Logitech K800 Wireless Illuminated Keyboard is a backlit keyboard that is compatible with Windows-based PCs or laptops. The small USB receiver plugs directly into the USB port on your computer with Plug-and-Play ease, without the need for any software installation.
This keyboard offers laser-etched, backlit keys that allow you to type easily even in environments with low lighting. The backlighting is adjustable, and hand proximity detection means sensors detect your hands as they approach the keyboard to turn the backlight on and off.
The sleek, streamlined design takes up minimal space on your desk and wireless connectivity gives you long-range freedom. This keyboard also features Logitech’s PerfectStroke system so you can take advantage of comfortable, fluid, quiet typing. The K800 keyboard boasts a full-size layout so you can work quickly and comfortably, and it can be stored standing up to free up space on your desktop.

I’ve owned a K800 keyboard for several years and it has long been my favorite. I recently decided to purchase another for my second workstation. Wireless illuminated keyboards are few and far between, and Logitech got it right with this one. The feel of the keys is great, typing is quiet, and the keyboard is very solidly made. The satin finish around the keyboard is an improvement over the glossy finish of my older K800. I’ve read reports that this keyboard is sensitive to liquid, but I’ve never had an issue -though I’m careful not to allow anything to drip on it. With daily 9-5 use the charge on my new one has lasted over two weeks. This isn’t the cheapest keyboard but it has the quality, functionality and reliability that I always associate with Logitech.

Sadly, my impatience has once again proven costly. The wife saw, and wanted an illuminated keyboard, so instead of ordering through my trusted source at BH, I decided I had to have one NOW, and ran by * and picked up this model. The wife loved it, and it’s many nice features. All was good for 3 months until the illumination stopped working. Logitech asked for my receipt, which I had not saved, so I was told I was SOOL. As much as I have enjoyed Logitech and the many products I have purchased and registered over the years, my long history of being a regular customer counted for nothing the one time I simply forgot to register my purchase. It will be my last purchase from them. If I had simply purchased from BH, THEY would have had a record of my purchase, To top it all off, today the space bar froze, and it will no longer hold a charge. I give this keyboard, and Logitech a FAIL for this product, and their customer service.

I use this for general PC use, several hours a day. It hooked up flawlessly to an already existing set-up from a previous plain wireless logitech keyboard. All I did was take this out of the box and it worked with the existing base station/USB setup. The keys are easy to read, just a plain easy to use keyboard that solves the grammer problems I was having for not being able to see the keys.

I really like this keyboard. Installation is quick and easy. This is a full sized keyboard but with a slim look and feel. Everything works as advertised including the long battery life and illumination. This product is worth the premium you pay if you like to use your computer in the dark or from across the room.

This is a fantastic keyboard. I am a web designer and I work on the computer for 10+ hours a day and this keyboard works better than my previous Logitech keyboard and I love the fact that it illuminates

Over the past few years I’ve spent hundreds on cheap keyboards with letter decals instead of incised letters. Those decals wear off all too easily. The cure is either a keyboard with incised letters or an illuminated keyboard. The least expensive keyboard with incised letters costs about the same as the K800. Its a no brainer. The K800 provides all the illumination you could want (unless you want a board that looks like the Vegas strip a night). The keyboard touch is way better than the cheap boards I bought for years. The K800 is guaranteed for 3 years and, the batteries are indeed replaceable. Download the free software for maximum versatility.

My computer room is dark. The walls are dark and soak up any light that comes into the room. I’ve tried every trick in the book for lighting. I finally gave up changing the lighting, and settled for the K800. Wow. This is great. Forget about the dark room, the keyboard lights up very nicely. It has made a huge difference, and I am very happy to have bought this keyboard. Battery life is great – I am exceeding what Logitech says I should be getting. Every expectation has been met or exceeded.

Keyboard is great. I had some issues at first due to plugging the charging cable into my USB hub/switch. What I found was the keyboard kept constantly dropping. Turns out that there just wasn’t enough power to the passive switch. To resolve, I realized that the cable is strictly for charging, and the USB wireless receiver is what matters. So now I have the charging cable plugged into PC 1 all the time, and I have the unifying receiver (with mouse too) on the USB switch (KVM). Works GREAT now that I realized that. Hope it helps someone else. Keyboard illumination is great. Key feel is excellent. Best combo of the feel of a laptop keyboard and a long-press regular desktop keyboard. Also, I’m a developer and appreciate the real function keys. Not a fan of what MS and others are doing turning the function keys into tiny after thoughts. 🙂

I purchased a new keyboard for the home pc. I have been looking at illuminated keyboards for a few months on different websites. B&H had a good price for an Logitech illuminated keyboard so I got one.

I’ve had this keyboard for a little over 5 months now. The only complaint I have with this is that the battery does not last as I expected. I would say that the battery lasts about a week to two weeks – I have set the keyboard to light up only when I begin typing. Ideally, I would have loved a light sensor to detect when it is dark for the keyboard backlights to come on instead of having the backlight coming on when I am typing during the day or while the room lights are on. In terms of typing, it is super comfortable and moderately quiet which I prefer. I do not get any pain in my wrists from typing with this and it took just over a couple of sessions with it to get accustomed to its layout. Another thing I would probably change is the position of the charging port to the side instead of behind the keys but that’s just because of how my desk is set up. Overall, if you are looking for something that is minimalistic, sleek in the finish, programmable for a few shortcuts, comfortable and looks good in black, this is the buy for you.

Love this key board – I didn’t realize how noisy my old one was until I started this one. The key board Illumination is an added bonus! Very easy to plug and play as they say! I will buy this again for the rest of my office staff. Waiting for a sale.

Bought this to use with my laptop as we won’t be in the office through the end of the year. I needed something with a numeric keypad and didn’t add to the many cords already on my desk. Bluetooth works great but I did have to place the USB on the opposite side of the computer vs my mouse because they may have been interfering with each other. Battery lasts a very long time and the keys have just the right amount of resistance to them.

It is very comfortable to type on. I’ve been thinking my typing skills had taken a nose dive lately but it was the keyboard I was using. I bought this keyboard because I’d recently purchased the K810 (a mini BT version of the K800) and found it extremely comfortable and easy to type on. This keyboard is quiet, sleek, has a low profile and I like the way it can stand on it’s side, out of the way if needed. Love the illumination, the different degrees of illumination, how it turns back on when touched or just waving your hand over the keyboard and how it fades off within 2-3 seconds after you remove your hands. Can’t speak to the battery life because I’ve only had it about a week. So far so good. I try to turn it off at night but usually forget. Honestly, I can’t think of anything negative about the K800 Illuminating Keyboard.

I love the lighted keyboard, especially in a dim room. The feel of this keyboard for me is the next best thing to a Mechanical Keyboard, except that it’s much quieter. I gave up on mechanical keyboards since they’re too noisy for typing while teleconferencing. The wireless feature is great too. I use the unifying Logitech dongle along with my Logitech mouse and can move them both to the coffee table when I port my display to the large screen TV for display / review of photos.
