The Logitech K800 Wireless Illuminated Keyboard is a backlit keyboard that is compatible with Windows-based PCs or laptops. The small USB receiver plugs directly into the USB port on your computer with Plug-and-Play ease, without the need for any software installation.
This keyboard offers laser-etched, backlit keys that allow you to type easily even in environments with low lighting. The backlighting is adjustable, and hand proximity detection means sensors detect your hands as they approach the keyboard to turn the backlight on and off.
The sleek, streamlined design takes up minimal space on your desk and wireless connectivity gives you long-range freedom. This keyboard also features Logitech’s PerfectStroke system so you can take advantage of comfortable, fluid, quiet typing. The K800 keyboard boasts a full-size layout so you can work quickly and comfortably, and it can be stored standing up to free up space on your desktop.

So many things to love about this keyboard!! The illuminated keys look great in low to no light. The softtouch of the keys makes it near effortless to type. The design is very nice, it’s light, sturdy, and very modern looking. Compliments just about any decor it is placed in.

I am a medical transcriptionist and have used this keyboard for several years. It seems to have been discontinued and I was very happy to find it at B&H. However I am wondering if I got a new product as it already does not seem to be holding its charge as long as it should. This is disappointing and I hope I did not get a refurbished product. I like the fact that the keys do not wear off and it is comfortable for the amount of typing that I do.

The keyboard is very useful. It’s great to use when the lighting in my room is low. It’s easy to use and gets the job done.

The interface using the Logitech Unifying receiver is as simple and effective as you will find. I had to download a driver for one of my computers but not the other which is curious since both are running Windows 7. The lighted keys are a real bonus and one of the main reasons I chose this keyboard. The auto-on feature of the back-lit keys works amazingly well. Just move your hands into position over the board and poof, let there be light! Right now I am switching this keyboard between my laptop and my desktop but plan on getting a second one to dedicate to the desktop in place of my Logitech S 510 which still works well but lacks the light feature and does not have rechargeable batteries built in. Once again Logitech has come out with a winning product which I gladly recommend. I’d give it 6 stars but the rating system stops at 5!

It’s computer keyboard that lights up once you put your hands near it. There is not much to say about it. It’s great as every top of the line logitech computer keyboard is. I bought it because I am a photographer and I like editing my work at night in a dark room. If the fact that the keyboard lights up is an advantage to you, this is the best ever made so far.

This is easily the best keyboard I’ve ever owned (out of probably dozens). It’s solid, nice keys, lights up when your hand is near it, and the battery on the wireless is long-lasting. Perfect!

I had the k740 model for many years. Upgraded to the K800 and I am very pleased with it. I like the feature where the keyboard only lights up when using and dims when your hands leave the keyboard.

This K800 is a replacement for a K350 that I wore out. I wore the lettering off some of the keys and the same keys started sticking. The K350 was much larger and had a handrest due to its thickness. The K800 is much thinner and doesn’t need a handrest. The main reason I selected this keyboard was that it has a concave depression on each key. I don’t like the flat chicklet keys on lesser keyboards. This one also has a bump on the F and J keys so you can keep your fingers at the correct location. If you learned to type on a manual keyboard, as I did, you will like this one. You only need light pressure to type, too. The only con is that, instead of replaceable batteries, it has a rechargeable battery, so you still have to use a cord about once a week to keep it charged. I retained my old wireless mouse and, although it worked well with the old keyboard, it took quite a while to get it to work with the new wireless system. Turns out the M510 software was out-of-date. Updating the M510 software solved the problem.
