   The Cadillac or Roles Royce of tape measure’s. The entire tape measure (excluding the handle) is made of metal and is made so well I believe you will be handing it down from generation to generation. The bright orange handle makes it easy to find when you forget where you laid it. The rewinding crank has a great swivel making it easy to rewind the tape. The markings on the tape are deep black against the silver surface to make it easy to read. The hook at the start of the tape is generous in size allowing you to use it with a multiple of items from nails & screws to rebar and dowles. The tape measure comes with a nice piece of leather to attach to the handle making it easy for carrying and storage.

   The Lufkin 1/4 IN. X 100 Ft. Tape measure is as rugged as your going to get! I was surprised when I opened the box to find this Lufkin measure was a lot more than I had expected. the first thing I noticed was that except for the handle the measure is all metal and as solid as they come. This measure will definitely last a long time. As you can see I had not installed the leather strap but maybe later. My only negative on this Lufkin measure is that the price seams to be just too high and would hope that they can change that.

   All METAL construction. This is a ‘built to last” product that is not only heavy duty, but also sturdy and accurate. This 100 foot tape measure has a very large comfortable handle to operate, as well as a rewind handle that is strong and folds into place for neat storage. This is a professional tool used by contractors made to hold up under repetitive use. I like the easy rewind and the “O” ring at the first inch to hold the measure into place while using.Easy to store and easy to take along to the project site. It is just the right width to fit into small spaces and lays nice and flat for easy measuring.

   The Lufkin 1/4 in. x 100 ft. derrick chrome clad tape measure is a nice addition to have for any workshop or outdoor project. The tape has a finger loop to pull out the tape and hold it in place via the loop and a nail. There is a release from the tape measure to allow for the tape to be pulled out of which the release keeps the tape from unintentional release. The winding action is smooth and pulls the tape up tight as long as the tape is somewhat clean. The measurements are easy to read.Overall I am very pleased, but I cannot figure out how the provided leather strap affixes to the handle as the leather strap is too large in diameter to thread through the handle hole.

   I chose this because I was re-doing a couple of fences along my property and I had some issues before. This “1/4 in. x 100 ft. Derrick Chrome Clad Tape Measure” works great! It has a larger handle with an easy comfortable grip. The turning bolt is also larger making it easier to grasp. When not in use the turning bolt handle folds down for easier storage. Good reliable product.

   This review is for a Lulfin C2276DN Derrick Tape, Eng. an engineer’s scale tenth’s to a foot. It does not provide imperial measures on the tape as well. We as part of our job as riggers take down and move entire plants of equipment. We need to take accurate measures before starting any job. These are given to draftsman and engineers to produce scaled drawings for how the equipment is to be located when it goes back up. This is a perfect tape for the job. It replaces my vintage case type case which was always binding at times and hard to keep clean. This type is easy to clean and a line wiper can be attached. The longer handle and hook ring provides a stable grip, helpful when working alone. Bright orange/red so you can find it easier if you put it down. In the long run a tape of this type will cut down the errors you can get on an imperial graded measuring tape. The large winding drum provides quick and easy rewinding. This is a well made accurate tape.

   The luffkin open real tape measure is a handy tape to have. The scale is very easy to read and well marked and has a chrome coating on it to help stop it from Rusting and to keep it easy to read. The tape is very well built and has a very strongly attached hook at the end that’s built to take abuse. It has a very smooth action to remind the tape up with, and Will last years
