This is a big fisted tape with a special spot to slow the retrieve of the tape blade without getting a nasty cut on your finger from a fast moving blade edge. The heavy gage 1 full inch wide steel blade is deeply concave and will stand straight out from 8 to 10 feet. Easy read calibration markings. This tape is too big to fit in a pocket, but it does have a belt clip. 25 ft. is a biggy but, a goody.

Wow! <-- That's the first word that came to mind when I held this bad boy. It weighs 18 oz so I knew it meant business. It fits comfortably and confidently in the hand, and the best part is that it has a wide metal tape that I can go a couple more feet vertically without it bending on me. I would recommend this for any contractor who needs a reliable measuring tape that is "user friendly". It's ergonomic, retracts easily but not "crazy-fast" that you are in fear of cutting your skin. In a word, it's SOLID. Great locking mechanism. Best tape measure I've ever had the pleasure of owning.

Lufkin has been making tape measures for years and there good.Got this 25 foot control series tape and again it is a well made tape with finger control on the bottom and an extra wide foot that will come in handy,the tape is wide and stable out to ten feet.Like I said nice tape,that being said if you have smallish hands it can be a little difficult to hold onto because of the extra width, it dose not have soft recoil so hold on.All in all a well made tape that should last a long time.

Measuring tape itself is massive and very strong. The width of the tape is 1 inch straight from edge to edge (w/o considering curving). The tape has wide end and deeper hook which makes certain measurements much easier than other tapes. I tested information on the package: In the room (without any air movement) the tape has 10 feet standout. Outdoors (when no wind) the tape standout was 9 feet without collapsing. Other features are: tape measurement stop feature, drag strip finger access, so the finger can control retracting speed, belt attachment and strong ring for leather strap attachment or for hanging when stored. All measuring tape is made very strong; the case is made from durable non slip material. I used this product for my next house project measurement and working with this tape was so easy: no twisting or curling or bending. It stays still in place.

This is a sturdy well made tape measure with large numbers. This tape measure is easy on the eyes and like the ease of using the stop button. I like the rubber coating which will stand lots of abuse. This is a must have tape measure.

This tool, a simple tape measure is a testament to American ingenuity that rids the tool of inconveniences that are common in other designs. The wide case resists tip over when the case is left upright and the tape locked into position with hands off. The flared, wide end hook holds the tape end into position so that it does not slip off the object being measured, a handy convenience when measuring long objects. The end of the tape case has a D-shaped hole for easy hanging with a tether strap. Especially handy is the “Drag Strip” feature on the bottom front of the case that facilitates finger control of the tape for retraction and measuring control. This is a great addition to my handyman tool collection.

this tape measure is great. Feels durable & solid. it doesn’t quite retract as fast as others that I have owned & but not bad enough to say anything negative. The tape itself is very solid & heavy. Doesn’t bend as others do. I would definitely recommend!!

“Control Series” indicates that this tape measure has a wide slot on the bottom of the unit whereby you simply press your finger on the tape to hold it in position after pulling out the desired length. It’s intuitive and easy to control. There is also a sliding lock to keep it locked in place, if desired. To rewind, merely release the pressure on the metal tape, or release the lock. A belt clip and a slot for a lanyard are built in. I own about a dozen different tape measures, and I really like this one. It will be my go-to tape measure.

This “Control Series” Tape Measure really makes it easy to measure without another person’s help! It locks easily and advances in increments with little effort. It is very hefty (25 ft) but easy to grip. The really large numbers are a great help to aging eyesight! It will definitely be my tape measure of choice.

This is a great tape measure for the value. It will extend to at least 9 feet without collapsing (when stretched horizontally) which is pretty decent. I tend to forget where I set my tools down, and the bright orange color is great for helping locate it when I lose track of it. There is a black, rubbery compound surrounding the outside of it to protect it from drops and abuse. It is not the best quality, but it should still protect it for a long time. The lock function works as expected.
