I use the tape in conducting research in inter-tidal (salt water) environment. Thus far it seems to be holding up but I have only had it 1 month, but nothing appears to be corodable (all plastic and fiberglass). I needed 100 meter length and with metric markings. It is a bonus to have both metric and standard markings. The only reason I gave this 4 stars rather than 5 is that since this is essentially a metric tape, it should have the metric markings on the top side of the tape as it unspools rather than the bottom as one has to constantly flip it over to read it with one hand while holding the spool (and perhaps other equipment) with the other hand, which can be awkward. Tape reels in and out easily. Seems well-made.
