I needed measure a recess in a building fascia that was about 4-feet down a parapet. I was able to set the Ruler at a 90º angle and place it into the recess to get the measurement I needed.

Just what’s needed when trying to measure inside measurements of closets, or other structures. Six inch extension makes for precise measurement that a tape rule can not accommodate.

Well buit. I use it for electrical conduit layouts I mostly purchase Klien tools but HD does not stock the Klien model

I have had my Lufkin rule for over 59 years, long enough that its maximum distance is 5’ 6”. I wanted my grandson to have this ingenious inside measuring device, and I was happy to find that it is still well made and pretty much made as mine was 69 years or so ago.

A well made wood rule. It works great where the flexibility of a tape rule is a hindrance. This is a nicely made useful tool.

Measuring tapes are good for a lot of work. But nothing beats the precision of measuring with a folding rule when marking for wood cuts. This specific model, with the slide-out extension, is especially useful for inside measurements, such as a window opening. Even when opened up to the full length, this rule is rock-solid with no flexing or sag.

Works as it should They are making this rule thinner which makes it more flimsy the more easily to break

Works well. Great for inside measurements. It feels old-timey at the same time while feeling modern-y.Peace,J

Does measuring jobs that you can’t do with a tape measure. Old school is sometimes what’s required.

Used while building air preheaters, is excellent for recording cord dimensions where this must be maintained within 1/16″ to ensure the preheaters are built round.

We use these in our carpentry classes. They are handy and accurate. A couple of them were slightly splayed out on the hinges out of the package, but they still function well.
