It took me a couple tries to adapt to Electric Pressure Cooking. It is just like a pressure cooker with less clean up. Last night I made a Veg Cabbage Curry in it and I loved the end result. It was so delicious. Today I made Basmati rice in it. I have found that the the Manual’s ratio made my rice very sticky and gooey. With the help of some online recipes for cooking Basmati rice in Electric Pressure Cooker I kinda got the idea as to how to customize the settings on the cooker for Perfect Aldente Basmati Rice and the inspiration kept flowing from there on!

Being new to the all-in-one concept of cooking, I didn’t want to spend too much on equipment I may end up not using. I purchased the Magic Chef on a holiday sale with the extended warranty and have absolutely no complaints. It has the exact same features as more expensive brands. The stainless steel liner is easy to clean and heavy. Overall, this is a solid piece of equipment and well constructed. Although I’m still on the learning curve, I have successfully made ribs, chuck steaks, tortellini soup and red clam sauce without any hiccups.

The stainless pot is wonderful. This eliminates worries of toxins from scratched nonstick pots. The item works superbly. I wish there was a way to order replacement stainless pots from this item because it fits other multi-cookers so I gave my mother my pot for her multi-cooker: now I want an original again.
