This came well packaged and sturdy case. My first cut was to trim a door and it was without flaw. Great saw for the money.

if you read reviews that are less than 5 stars, don’t believe them. Buy a diablo blade with this saw since you are spending 160 bucks anyway. No other brand comes even close to the comfort, STABILITY, lack of vibration and concise cuts that this saw delivers. I have used green, yellow and red brands (reds my personal fav) but they don’t come close to this sweet ride.

This saw is, in my opinion, the top of the line when it comes to circular saws.

Bought this to replace an old saw that got handed down to me. Researched the heck out of saws, plus, knowing people that have Makita saws for a long time, I went with this one. The stock blade cuts pretty nice. Not really meant for finish work, but still a good cut. Saw it pretty heavy, but it’s def a well built saw. I’m happy with the purchase and would buy it again.

I needed a new saw quick, because my other one had died in the middle of a project. An identical model was not available, so I picked this one out. It works fine, and does have some advantages over my previous saw.

Nice balance but …Double shot on single shot:(No consistency in depth.I used this for siding and it was a pain. I wish I had bought the rigid instead.I have a white elephant and can’t get rid of it.

Our grandson wanted this particular saw for his High School Graduation Gift. We bought this not only as a gift, but as an investment in his future as he is a prentice carpenter working for his father. This was the best price and it was free delivery

This is a direct replacement for my 14ye old Makita that daughter left out in the rain… For 4 days … Otherwise it would still be running .. Great saw

I am building a new house which has Allura fiber cement siding. I didn’t want to have to buy both a separate siding nailer and roofing nailer so i purchased this Makita nailer and used 1 3/4 ” roofing nails per manufacturer. This nailer worker perfect I didn’t have any issues with misfeed or double nailing through 1200 sq feet of siding and 19 squares of roofing architectural shingles with out one single double feed or misfeed. This tool is awesome!

So far this is a well functioning nail gun seams to hold up under pressure of a hot roof and fast pace

Powerful, accurate, smooth working safety barrier and, of course, new sharp blade. Cut 1×16 shelving like butter. Measuring tape was not attached, but easy to stick on. Would definitely buy again.

I purchased the Makita RN about half way through my roofing project. I initially purchased the Rigid RN. I’d give them both 4 stars. My issue with the Rigid nailer was it failed to consitantly feed after about 1 case of nails. If you examine the “feed claws”, the rigid has 2 whereas the Makita has 4. The Makita didn’t have a single feeding issue. There are 2 things about the Makita I don’t care for. 1- The tip has a slight bevel on the edge. While this probably helps sliding across shingles for fast nailing, it makes using the tip of the gun as an alignment tool less effective than other guns, including the rigid. 2- The rubber sheathing on the grip slide around a bit. It ended up getting a ripple which I had to work out or it would cause blisters. The rigid however was certainly the most ergonomic. Ultimately, I’d take the Makita over the rigid just because it always performed which is critical in getting the job done. If the rigid wouldn’t have failed to feed I’d likely prefer that over the Makita based on feel, size, and looks.
