Previously owned one it lasted 15 years. I like this one it’s easy to control cutting out floors. I only down side I don’t care for the Allen to change the blade. But that’s not anything to stop me from buying another one. Or, recommending it to someone else

Sometimes the blade-guard gets caught on the wood but other than that, it’s great.

This is a heavy saw, but it cuts great!

Best makita Circular Saw , the first one I had for over 10 years and was used at jobsite almost everyday. I bought another one because my old one needed to replace the carbon brush .

Works great, wanted a worm gear drive saw for several reasons and was not all that impressed with Makita tools I have owned in the past but, these saw is work horse. We will see how it handles the projects I have lined up for it in the spring,, it certainly has cutting power and the narrow kerf blade it came with far exceeded my expectations being a Freud fan for several years.I was considering spending the extra money for the die cast base plate version of this saw but, this one was a very good deal at the sale price and it’s coating is very tough.

A truly worthwhile investment for anyone looking to move up a little in the quality of tool they own. Absolutely no play in the blade when you shake it by hand. The cuts seem to be more the fault of the user, in this case, me, than anything about the saw. The adjustments are easy and hold well. Nice long cord. It would have been nice had it come with a few things extra like a case or a ripping guide but I can understand that it would have been difficult to leep the price as low as it.The only true complaint I have is not the saw or HD’s responsibility but rather the carrier. UPS had no problem getting the saw to Texas but once it reached the state line, speed of delivery became a forgotten factor. The package made it from Georgia to Texas in less than 24hrs. It took another three to make it from Dallas to my doorstep. And that’s only four hundred and fifty mile.

Good tool, well constructed but a little heavy.

Great power but I would not recommend to anyone but a pro who would use all day and build the muscles necessary. It is a terrible strain on your wrist so if you are ripping plywood in a shop and everything is supported then t is alright
Maida Parker (verified owner) –
This is a great saw cuts much straighter than a regular skill saw because it’s a hypoid saw

My last Makita was the same style saw and I had it for 22 years and it performed great in all tasks. The only reason I bought a new so was I forgot who I loaned it out to. My new saw cuts like butter and I hope it lasts as long as my last Makita saw.
