Decent, a little bulky and awkward. Great otherwise.

As a professional I own many saws! I bought this saw as a replacement for an old skill sawthat I’ve had for many years. After using this worm drive type saw I will never go back to the old styleskill saws again. Even though this saw is much heavier I have found it to be an advantage. This saw cuts straighter and with less effort then the old saws. Also with the blade being on the left side you can see what your cutting much easier.Makita is a very well known and trusted name in the industry and I would recommend this saw toanyone !!

Cut 3/4″ oak plywood perfect with little effort I am very happy with this saw

Only a 7 ¼ blade, not the more common / larger blade, if that makes a difference in what you are cutting, Heavy, powerful, typical excellent Makita quality. About half the price of other hypoid drive saws, and about the same price as medium priced side/direct drive saws which are not nearly as powerful or well balanced.

very nice if you need a powerful saw but still require easy view of the cut. very easy to see what you are cutting for precise cuts.

A little heavier than the normal skill saw I’m used too but it cuts so smooth and easily it makes up for the weight. Like going thru butter!
Favian DuBuque (verified owner) –
it did everything that I needed and more

I just got it, so haven’t had a chance to use it much, but it cuts very nice, good balance and power.Only minus is that it is heavy.

The saw is accurate, powerful, and perfect for someone right-handed. I’m making fast work of the 2×4’s in my most recent project: I would definitely buy this one again.

Cool saw replaces its predecessor which I managed to break the blade attachment Bolt I screwed up forgot it was reverse thread wrenched on it and broke the bolt off repair was going to cost just as much as a new saw

I like the well built toughness of this saw rain or shine it always performed I built three Houses and remolded two more with my old saw this one will do the same

everything I wanted in a saw

This is an affordable buy/tool, very strong circular saw, simple function and cuts threw materials easily.

Haven’t had an opportunity to use it so far. I think I will like it though. Only thing I wasn’t expecting was the weight, heavier than other circular saws making it a challenge for me to use.
Melissa Hirthe (verified owner) –
It’s heavy and has lots or wrist torque for light duty work but great for heavy duty and ripping
Clotilde Funk (verified owner) –
I haven’t taken it out of the box yet…for a future project
