I found out they changed the 5/8 arbor to 5/8 compared to my old that I like now buy 5/8 and it fits without buying something else to make it fit .the grinder runs works great it does the job for me

Very powerful. Cuts thru #4 steel rebar like butter. Marital tools on the whole seem to me better designed. They are worth the money especially when HD offers a hearty discount.

I have used this model of grinder for the last twelve years, they work great, I only like the model with a on/off switch, use them to cut rebar, concrete, retaining wall blocks, Works great. Gave this one to my son for Christmas.

The only THing wrong I see is the switch, is kind of hard to turn on, need to really use both hands to turn it on, eventually the switch will brake, I had another one before with the same issue. Other than that, very reliable tool.

Quality unit with one drawback: the guard requires a screwdriver to change position. Not as convenient as other grinders currently available. But, apart from this ,the unit is a nice addition to my DIY collection of tools.

Worked great at getting glue off concrete

Makita makes good quality products. I always use these tools on the jobsite, and this grinder made easy work of removing a large chain link fence.

this is one of the best angle grinders on the market. I prefer the on/off switch over the paddle switch. if your main job with this is grinding only then the type of the switch does not really matter, but for cutting on/off one is much more convenient. BTW its very easy to turn on or off, I dont understand ppl complaining about it being hard to turn on, all you gotta do is push it forward from the very back of the button and its on, you can hold it like that or push down and lock it on.
