Purchased this grinder because the smaller size was more convenient for me to use when sharpening mower blades. After using the grinder I found the power was sufficient to handle commercial grinding applications too. Very pleased that Makita recognized consumer’s need to have more power in a compact grinder! I found this model with the paddle switch is a lot more convenient for use than other models with a push power switch.

Works great. The paddle switch is a nice touch when in use. It seems safer and easier to use.

I already have one of these I’ve used daily for the past five years. I purchased a second one to use as a sander. Very tough and durable.

They make it easy to change the wheels and it’s light enough to use with one hand.

I have a Makita angle grinder of the same basic construction I purchased in 1988. It is still going strong and used often. Now I have a cutting blade on one and a grinding disc on the other. The paddle is an improvement over the original switch, but both are indispensable and fantastic tools.

Bought this to replace a 5 yr old Ryobi that died during my new flagstone patio project. So far it is working fine and I anticipate it will hold up just as well as my previous grinder. My only beef is with the trigger safety mechanism but from what I’ve see that is pretty much standard on all grinders now days.

I selected this grinder to replace another model (Bosch) that lasted me more than 20 years. Milwaukee has a strong reputation. I liked the paddle switch on this model and it was priced fairly.

I don’t really like the new paddle switch, it’s hard to get used to
