Just completed the cement board job I bought this for. 2 houses side by side. 1260 hardie boards (8 1/4″ x 12′), more than 10,000 nails. Gun has held up well. Worked through the rain many days as weather has been awful. Hardie dust and moisture gummed up the striking pin at one point. Cleaned and oiled, then increased daily oiling going going forward. No further problems. Has a good, stationary belt hook. Better than the dewalt which has a swivel on the belt hook. Thought the flimsy looking shrapnel guard wouldn’t last long – but it remains completely intact.

Works extremely well. Very easy to load. Well balanced. My only complaint is the volume of the exhaust. It’s very load.

Got the nailer to finish up my porch ceiling. Only have had it for one week but it meets all my expectations and seems to be a great asset to my tools.

Kicking but with no jams.

I use it everyday at work, it gets the job done. Of the several siding nailers I’ve used, this one is superior in everyway. We’ll see how it operates in a year from now, that’s the real test. It’s seems durable, it’s lightweight, nail depth adjustable and i really like how with a glance you can see how many nails are left. Not a big fan of the last nail falling out but most of them do that, i have a Hitachi that shoots the last 2 out and often jams up. So far so good, good job Makita!

Works great

Excellent nail gun works great for fencing and the nails won’t split the boards.

We are on our second one of these. The first one completely froze up on the second coil of nails… exchanged it at the store, no problem. The new one is working fine… our biggest complaint is the exhaust blast is absurdly powerful. The whole crew prefers the half priced competitor offered on the HD website.

I waited to buy this nailer until I hear a good sized repair shop I could really check it out good. If it didn’t meet my expectations I figured I’d just return it….. Well I’m keeping it !It works great. So lite and easy to nail with.As with all nail guns… There is always room for improveme

I love using this tool. A friend of mine had it and I would always use it until I just told myself I had to get one of my own. Very good nailer and I would recommend to anyone

This is an excellent nailer. Makita quality and the feature that allows you to select the type of firing sequence (contact-activated or sequential) are the primary reasons I went with this gun. The contact-activated firing is easy to use and makes the precision, single-nail work so often required in repairs much easier. Home Depot’s price is also noticeably better than Amazon’s. The rubber handle grip on my gun was poorly attached–or not fully glued–to the handle and it slides around during use, so I am removing a star for poor quality control. Unfortunately, it is made in China. Sigh. Nevertheless, the ergonomics and feature set are very good for the price.
