This 1/2″ socket adapter for impact drivers allows the socket to tilt up to 15 degrees. Not a smooth motion when over-tilted but handy if you need the extra leeway on your job. I have tested other Makita products made for impact drivers and they have been performing well under heavy use. I expect this to be the same story- but likely less use since it will not replace a straight adapter- This is not as easy to use.

The tool did what it was meant to do. I have no problem with it and it was a good tool.

Got sick of cheaper adapters breaking, this one has held up well. It is made in Japan and has wobble ability when needed.I use this with a 120ft-lbs cordless impact driver and it works well. My impact driver is better suited for 3/8 sockets, but this does the job when I need to use my larger assortment of 1/2″ impact sockets.

Just enough tilt to let you get those hard to reach bolts. Worth the price!

this tool allows you to get in at an angle where a socket on a straight extension or a ratchet wouldn’t fit

If you have an impact driver, you are not really supposed to use a big 1/2 socket. But once in a while, you might have to use it, and when that happens, this will come in handy.I have Dewalt DCF899 impact wrench for my car work, but this is pretty powerful, and kind of overkill for most works. So, I got this adapter and using it with Dewalt DCF887 impact driver, and it works great for small bolts. I could even remove 80 ft-lb lug nut, but probably continuous use will stress this adapter. Impact drivers are not really designed to remove lug nuts.By the way, if you insert the socket all the way in, beyond the detent ball, it will hold the socket straight.

These adapters/chucks worked great. The pivoting allowed for easy placement of the socket.

I have used Milwaukee and Dewalt. They break constantly. This Makita does not snap off. It works perfectly.

Great while it lasted; definitely like the tilt. I guess these should all be considered disposable. It snapped today, pic attached. Wasn’t sure whether to recommend or not; just know it’s going to break, so keep that in mind. If it’s critical, better buy a spare. drf
