This hefty little holder makes a good match with Makita’s insert bits, although it will also work with any other brand. For just a few bucks more, you get a holder with some heft. The insert end is fairly thick to add to durability. It is a little heavy, but not too much. The throat tolerance is tight, which provides a snug fit for the bits – a very good thing. You want to avoid “play.”And when you use it with matching Makita bits, you’ll get a really good grip on the bits via some subtle features. The bits have small indents on them, and the holder has some raised ridges inside the throat that engage the indents. My macro focus on my camera isn’t working, otherwise I’d provide a picture, so please accept my description. It is an interesting feature that really helps hold the bits. My older, cheaper holder doesn’t have this. And of course there is a magnet to also hold the bit steady.

After trying different bit holders this one is the best, won’t skip too much, hold the screws better and steady

Gold bits fit snug in holder with positive lock so bit remains in tool. Not sure if this tool will extend the longevity of the Phillips bits as claimed but it seems to be well made. If the bit holder does extend the life of the bit, it’s a good buy. If not, it’s a little pricey.

I’ve used a number of torsion bit holders in the past with mixed results. Normally, they just don’t hold the bit in very tightly and tend to strip the heads of the screws out. Not so at all with this holder. The fitment of the bits in the holder is really tight. Plus, it’s magnetized, so not only does it make sure the bits stay firmly in the holder, but also helps to hold the screws to the bit when setting them. I haven’t stripped a single screw with this yet and I can really tell how well this holder transfers the power of the impact driver down to the bit itself. Just a great tool!

A great extension bit and holder. Its magnetic end holds the bits in place and in some cases the tip of the bit becomes magnetized and allows it to hold the screw on the end of the bit making it easy to guide smaller screws like for electronics back into the holes without having to fight the process.

The only bit holder I could find that would lock into my Bosch IDH182-02 impact really heavy built bit stays locked in real well

This is a good tool. It is the same as the blue Magnetic bit holder except it is not magnetic. If you don’t need the magnet to hold the screw it is your tool.

Great bit holder . It grips bits real tight I’ve had to use pliers to remove new bits maybe it’ll release easier after some use I have no reservations In recommending this bit holder .

Like most people, I have several of these bit holders from a handful of different brands and, yet, this is the only one I need. Far and away superior to the others, most of which are big brand. Magnet is strong with absolutely zero wobble. I use with Makita’s impact gold bits and can’t imagine needing anything better. Exemplary products.

I was a little disappointed that it didn’t have the slide screw stabilizer, but it does hold the screwdriver tip so that it doesn’t come out of the bit holder. I have dropped many a screwdriver tip into the tall weeds when it came out of the bit holder and then fell into the weeds. The magnetic quality holds the screw on the bit holder until you have the material ready to put the screw into the material. They do recommend that you use a Impact Gold tip because they will not be destroyed by the constant pounding of the impact driver.

I’ve had two of these come apart in the past, and I don’t really know what caused it, they just gave up. This is the sturdiest, and most promising I’ve seen yet. It seems to be made of heavier materials that I hope will give me a much longer service life.

I have used several brands of “magnetic” bit holders over the years, some of them more expensive than this one, and invariably, my bit would fall out or stick to the screw coming of the holder on occasion. I read the reviews on this and thought, ok, i’ll give it a try. right out of the package, this was different, the bit clipped into the holder, and the magnet was much stronger. I was able to build an entire barn without losing a bit, screws stuck to the bit extremely well, saving me tons of time foraging for dropped screws as in the past. some reviewers wrote of having trouble taking a bit out to change it because it is clipped in, not a problem, I bought one of these holders for each style of bit I use. philips #2, square #2, and two sizes of star bits, totally worth it. I buy and use my screws by the 25 pound pail, only because I can’t find 50 pound buckets……. the only problem I had was when removing screws, the magnet is so strong, it will retain the screw and instead of just falling into your hand, you have to physically take every screw off the bit, not a problem when you have one screw to remove, but when dismantling hundreds, it would become tiresome. I just used one of the other brands for removing screws. that being said, this is hands down the best bit holder I have ever used….
