These tips seem to be holding up a bit better than the last impact bits I bought from Home Depot (Milwaukee I think). I think part of my problem is the older wood that I’m working with in my remodel but really expected the others to last longer for the price. Hopefully these will stand up better to these older harder woods.

I’d have to say out of experience that these bits are the strongest I’ve ever used. While repairing a squeekie subfloor in with my milwaukee 18v fuel impact driver I first used the high rated apex bits uses for aviation maintaince. Got 5-10 screws in before the tips blew out. Switched to the makita gold after that and finished the rest of 25×20 foot floor with one bit. About 250 screws later when I got to the stairs the bit finally broke. I recommend these above any other bit I’ve used milwaukee, Dewalt and apex bits. they have no chance standing up next to these makita gold bits.

Makita’s impact GOLD torsion magnetic insert bit holder and Phillips insert bits are truly innovative and perform as described. While using my RIDGID impact driver the bit stayed in the screw head which helped prevent stripping and the bit stays in the magnetic bit holder which saves time on job not having to pull insert bit out of screw head. The torsion section of bit holder flexed when needed to prevent bounce out and bit damage. I have installed 2″ to 3″ screws in 2×4’s and pressure treated 4×4’s and single bit shows barely any wear. I am planning on purchasing other insert bit tips ( torx, square drive, #3 Phillips.)

couldnt find these in store so i bought 2 other “top” brands and they would not hold up for more than a few screws. these bits last very well made dont pop out of screw head easily…

I have been buying the cheaper bits and all they did was wound off the screw heads and this one fits in the screw head perfectly and last way longer then the previous cheaper bits .

I am a retired maint guy with one arm. 99% of everything I do is screwed in, 1% is nail gunned in. I have bought all the different impact gun bits. The Makita gold impact bit is by far the best out there. They fit well in the screw head and don’t spin. I have only thrown out one bit for wear in the last year. These bits will last and are well worth the money.
