Makita Impact GOLD is new innovation in fastening with a full line of insert bits, bit holders, nut setters, socket adapters and more. Impact GOLD is designed exclusively for use with high-torque impact drivers and is engineered to last up to 10-times longer than standard insert bits. Impact GOLD Double-Ended Power Bits feature Xtreme Torsion Technology, which allows the torsion section of the bit to flex under load and take pressure off of the bit tip for increased durability in high torque applications. High-strength steel delivers longer bit life and the precision-fit tip is engineered to prevent “cam-out” and stripping. Makita Impact GOLD is designed exclusively for use with high-torque impact drivers and it is ideal for the most demanding jobs including deck building, framing, installing plywood subfloor and more.

I bought one of these years ago and really put it through its paces on a clutch drive drill and even clutch-less drills. It really held up well to all of the abuse I put to it. I have many other bits for the drill but somehow the length of this one just seemed to be the most optimal for my needs and became my go to Phillips bit. Alas, the time for replacement came and I was so pleased that I saw this in the Tool Dept. ready for purchase.

As a curtain or window treatment installer we often have brackets that make a our screw driver attachments not long enough to drive a screw straight inward. I looked for a longer single pit and came across this new one which also allowed to slide a magnet collure onto it to be able to hold a screw better. I purchased 2 of them and my customer noticed it when installing the other day.Great item..
