The 4Ah exceeds the run time of the brand new 3Ah to the point that I regret buying the 3. I (not recommended) modified an older cut off saw (with a sharp tree limb blade) to accept the 4 and made cuts on a 8″ tree. The 3 made one and a half cuts. The 4 made three cuts and was still half full. (I got worried about the saw so I stopped.) In my newer drill (designed for the higher amp hour battery) I drove dry wall screws until my hand hurt. The 4Ah takes longer to charge than the 3, but I wasn’t out of power in battery two when battery one was finished charging. I have been a fan of Mikita from the time I bought my first Hypoid drive saw from Home Depot in 1990. It is still going strong. My Mikita 18 volt cordless tools outlasted the Black and Deckers by a factor of 15 years. Great product, great company.
