Build your own Makita tool kit with the 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Battery and Rapid Optimum Charger Starter Pack. Makita offers over 225 cordless tools that utilize 18-Volt lithium-ion batteries, most available as bare tools (tool only, no batteries or charger included). Pick up the Makita Battery and Rapid Optimum Charger Starter Pack, then purchase the 18-Volt bare tools you need to get the job done. It’s an ideal way to start building a Makita LXT Cordless System. Makita 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Batteries resist self-discharge, so theyre ready for use even after long periods of storage. The Makita Rapid Optimum Charger is a smart-charging system that communicates with the battery during the charging process to monitor current, voltage and temperature. This advanced charging technology helps optimize battery life and deliver a faster charge. In addition, the Charger has a built-in fan to cool the battery for faster and more efficient charging, even in hot weather conditions. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating. This Promotion also comes with a bonus XRJ04Z 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Recipro Saw, Tool Only.

not a brushless tool
Kari Eichmann (verified owner) –
great portable saw, powerful enough for most jobs.
Tyra Farrell (verified owner) –
Powerful and has cut through wood and metal with ease.
Laurine Willms (verified owner) –
Bag is to small for the saw, but works well for charger and batteries. Saw is heavy and bulky, works well for demolition but not for tight spaces
Kayla Nitzsche (verified owner) –
This is a great saw with very easy blade changes. Very pleased with this purchase!
Terence Macejkovic (verified owner) –
High quality professional grade tool.
Louisa Lebsack (verified owner) –
Very slow speed like blade change thou. Will stick with electric version for heavy cutting. Ggood for small cuts.
Diego Dietrich (verified owner) –
Saw is light, fast cutting action for a great price, thank you!
Federico Fadel (verified owner) –

Ruthe Adams (verified owner) –
Very disappointed in your delivery service. The saw was placed in front of the garage out in the open! This saw has a very distinct packaging. No one rang the bell or knocked on the door Just really lucky it didn’t grow legs and walked away!

Batteries last a long time and charge quickly.
Wilfredo Willms (verified owner) –
It’s a good tool. I was hoping for more power, but I guess that’s why the brushless option is available. Overall I can’t complain. It gets the job done.
Murl Boehm (verified owner) –
Used too much energy from battery
Karley Bruen (verified owner) –
I enjoyed my new tool
Queen Zieme (verified owner) –
Just what I needed.
June Kris (verified owner) –
Very convenient being cordless, with the same functionality of a plug-in.

It isn’t fair to say this isn’t a good product or not recommend it because it does what it’s supposed to do: if you’re in a pinch, don’t have access to an outlet, and need to make some quick rips, it’s a good tool. However, it just doesn’t have the battery life or power for more extensive projects. After owning this tool for about 2 years, I had to cut a bunch of brush and decided to pick up the corded model. Not only do I not have to worry about battery life but the corded version has noticeably far more power. I wish I had bought the corded model when I put in a fence and had to get through a lot of old roots! So unless you don’t have access to an outlet, I’d definitely go with the corded version and a 100 ft extension cord.
