Great little sander. Low noise and vibration, and the dust pickup system actually does a decent job. The included device for perfing the edges of the sandpaper is great. Nice ergonomic handle, and the 2-finger trigger is really helpful. Also like the clamping system for the sandpaper – works well and is easy to use.

SO QUIET!!!!!!……I bought bought both the 1/3 sheet & 1/4 sheet at the same time, because after years of continual usage both 1/4 sheet sanders I have became so loud I could not use them any more .I wanted to try the 1/3 sheet sander after reading the reviews of others saying it is not loud. All the reviews are correct ,this 1/3 sheet is very quiet & the 1/4 sheet is much louder even tho it is also New……The other feature I like is that it is so much easier to put the sandpaper on the 1/3 sheet sander , I wish the 1/4 sheet sander had the same system. Both are great sanders to use but I will now always buy the 1/3 sheet sander because of the 2 reasons I gave …Hope this will help others God bless! … Steve

This Makita sander runs exceptionally quiet with very little vibration. It seems to be quite powerful and it is very easy to change your sandpaper. The dust collection system is helpful. Have had about a month and have not tried hooking to a shop vac yet. It is definitely worth the extra money compared to the cheap throw away brands.

The sander works great. The vacuum really picks up the dust. That makes cleanup real easy. I am just having trouble finding sand paper 1/3 sheet with vacuum holes in it. All I can find are the hook and loop which will not stick to the bottom on this sander and they are shorter so can not use the end clips to hold them in place to use.

A bit lower power than their own 1/4 sheet version, but that’s no problem. Excellent sturdy metal base and paper clamps with fantastic dust collection. Smooth and well balanced. Excellent grips and handling.
