When finishing big surfaces this sander fills the bill. Easy sand paper clamps too. But the dust collector leaves a lot to be desired. Not sure they were serious about the plastic holder for the paper dust bag. Would have been better if it had a hose to connect to the shop vac

Smooth and quiet. Real nice finish sander. Gives you two options on the sandpaper options. Hook and loop or regular sandpaper. Must buy a hole puncher for normal paper.

I feel like Rip Van Winkle. I’ve only ever owned one finish sander before in my 66 years, a vintage Black & Decker bought by my father, circa 1960. I used that sander hard for over 55 years. The Makita is every bit as good. And that’s saying a lot. Hope it lasts as long, I’ll pass it to my son.

Works well. Used automobile radiator hoses to step up to shop vac size hose. Dust free sanding.

This sander really is a must have if you want flat table tops or panels. It’s easy to creat a dip here and there with a rotary sander an the half sheet sander eliminates all of that. it effortlessly floats across the surface and dust collection with a shop vac is fantastic. Use the rubber gromet for the bag to use with an adapter to hook up the vacuum. Now I look forward to sanding.

Used on some vertical surfaces & it was heavy but on horizontal surfaces excellent. Tossed the vacuum bag & holder & hooked it up to a shop vac which made the dust minimal. A bit expensive but a good tool for the long run.
