I have owned other sanders, but wanted a random orbital sander. I went to Home Depot and held the various samples and this sander felt the best with a good price. It has not disappointed me. Does a great job and the dust collector is amazing!

The motor runs smooth minimizing vibration and I like variable speed control in combination with sandpaper grit for determining debris removal. As an example I used 250 grit with slow speed taking glue, and not the gelcoat, off the side of my boat.

It works excellent and I use it every day along with my old Makita sander which gives me 2 sanding grits for a smoother finish.

I don’t have anything to compare it to, as this is the first time I’ve bought and used an electron sander, but I am in love with this thing. I stripped back my huge dining table in a few hours rather than what would’ve taken days of sanding or the mess of chemical stripping. Now I want to strip and refinish everything! It is very smooth and easy to use.

It works great for all my DIY jobs at home.

I bought this product for sanding the seams between sheet rock. It makes the job much faster than manually sanding. Great product.

Really like this sander. It took a little longer to figure out how to hook up nicely to my Ridgid shop vac but eventually figured out a adaptor that fit well and didn’t look like an aftermarket fix. The adaptors Makita sells aren’t easy to get a hold of unless purchased online so remember that.

This orbital sander is a treat to utilize. It is light weight, quiet and does remove a or of dust. I hope that this unit last as long as my 43 year old Rockwell that it replaced.

Makita random orbital sander with front removable handle works perfectly. Recently made 2 cherry wood canoe paddles. Used sander to bring blades to desired thickness. 80 weight removed stock quickly; finer weights with variable speeds allowed me to take just the right amount off. Minimal vibration, hard case all pluses. I would however, like to see a longer cord.
