The 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless 12 LED Flashlight (model DML801) provides ultra-bright illumination, versatility and convenience. At full brightness (12 LED), it provides 240 Lumens of light. The 2-mode switch also provides a half-brightness setting with 6 LED (120 Lumens). When using the fast-charging 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion 3.0 Ah battery (sold separately), the flashlight delivers 12-hours of continuous illumination on a single charge on the full brightness/12 LED sets and 22-hours on the half brightness/6 LED setting. The Flashlight can be powered by Makita 18-Volt Lithium-Ion batteries. For added convenience, the flashlight head folds up and down and pivots left to right to deliver multiple lighting angles. A metal hang-hook swivels 360 and folds away when not in use. The flashlight has a slim, compact design at 15 in. L and weighs only 2.1 lbs. (with 18-Volt LXT battery, sold separately). It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18-Volt Lithium-Ion series, the world’s largest cordless tool line-up powered by an 18-Volt Lithium-Ion slide-style battery. Makita 18-Volt Lithium-Ion batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger.

Excellent flashlight, best I have found. I use it for working both indoors and outside. It provides a flood light, one-sided lantern type light, not a beam, which is exactly what I need to illuminate a work area. The battery life is excellent too, used for a few hours, switched between the two light settings. The folding and hanging aspects make this easy to carry and store, as well as handy to use.

This directional light by Makita is incredible. Working in tight, dark spaces as well as up in the attic is much easier with this light and since it uses the same battery as my other tools, I don’t have to worry about bringing a bunch of excess with me. This light hangs easily with the included hardware; it also stands up on it’s own rather nicely. The light emitted covers a pretty good distance and also provides a decent area-fill, so it’s become my primary light on the job as well as in my own home. Remember, this doesn’t come with a battery or charger.

infinite adjustment easy to direct beam,good quality,and handy. Only complaint is the on off button is not easy to find on handle to push because it does not stick up so you can feel it in dark conditions when you can’t see. I may give it a drop of silicone to make a bump on switch.
