So far I’ve used only 1 of these bits to remove 50+ rusting 2.5″ screws from aging deck boards. No wear. They haven’t stripped, although a number of the screws have. I’d be on a 3rd or 4th bit by now with past brands I’ve used. I did the math on the 15 pack vs. 5 pack & it was the better deal by far — although it will probably be a long time till I use them up if my experience so far is an indication.

First, The experience. We recently remodeled our laundry room and with the use of a Makita XPS Ph2 bit, I was shocked how great the bit held up. With hardly any slips (user error on slips) this bit holds a true Ph (Philips). I am very impressed the same bit from start to finish held up to a 100 plus screws that came along with the remodel. I still use and have the same Makita XPS Ph2 bit after the laundry room build. Second, The quality. The quality is there and unmatchable! Damage was minimal. The same bit I started with probably could go through 100+ times more abuse. Third, The comparison. I have Makita competitors bits and can say from my comparison the other brands were a “bit” FRUSTRATING. Lastly, Overall experience. First impression is the last impression!

Absolutely the best out there! Saves you more money because they last longer than others which seems like they make those out of butter.

I bought these bits because I thought that they would be better than the Milwaukee version. they are not. Neither these nor the Milwaukee fit standard drywall screws very well with lots of wiggle in the base as well low friction at the tip. I ended up grinding bits down after about thirty or so screws. On the positive side the fins never broke. So if you have a lot of upper body mass and can lean on these (which isn’t safe), they just don’t have the friction or the fit.

The absolute BEST bits for an impact drill Ive ever used, and I’ve tried them all.I don’t usually review products but wanted to take the time to tell professionals to use this product… hand down the best impact but in the business!Kudos Makita.

All tips will wear down. These last quite a bit before its time to replace them
