Makita ImpactXPS is new innovation in fastening with insert bits and fastening accessories built for the demands of the professional contractor. The ImpactXPS #1 Square 3 in. Power Bits are designed exclusively for use with high-torque impact drivers and are engineered to last up to 90-times longer than standard insert bits. High-strength steel delivers longer bit life and the precision-fit tip is engineered to prevent cam-out and stripping. The torsion section of the bit flexes under load to take pressure off of the bit tip for increased durability. The high quality steel construction is engineered for increased durability and features a matte nickel surface for best in class corrosion resistance. ImpactXPS #1 Square 3 in. Power Bits are ideal for the most demanding jobs including deck building, framing, installing plywood subfloor and more.

I have been using them to remove planks on an older deck (to get to and replace the stringers). They have worked well removing most of the screws. You have to really clean the screw head socket first and then start out slowly with the impact driver. Doing it that way usually prevents cam-out.

Makita is excellent the number is physically stamped on the side of the torques bit more a little painted edge thing like what Milwaukee the paint comes off on Milwaukee brand I would not recommend the Milwaukee brand because the torques numbers are so close together

I drove 2000 stainless steel screws into Hardie panel for a ceiling with this bit and it worked great. It held the screws very secure. One bit lasted the entire project and is still going strong. Very happy with the quality.
