Makita Impact XPS is new innovation in fastening with insert bits and fastening accessories built for the demands of the professional contractor. The Impact XPS T30 Torx 3 in. Power Bits are designed exclusively for use with high-torque impact drivers and are engineered to last up to 90-times longer than standard insert bits. High-strength steel delivers longer bit life and the precision-fit tip is engineered to prevent cam-out and stripping. The torsion section of the bit flexes under load to take pressure off of the bit tip for increased durability. The high quality steel construction is engineered for increased durability and features a matte nickel surface for best in class corrosion resistance. Impact XPS T30 Torx 3 in. Power Bits are ideal for the most demanding jobs including deck building, framing, installing plywood subfloor and more.

These bits hold up very well compared to the short bits. The short barrel section between the tip and the drive end helps keep the bit from shearing off. The short tips have sheared off while using my Makita impact drill many time. These bits have a very long life before finally wearing out and not breaking off.

I got these tork bits in hopes they would fit my pool pump, but they didn’t. I failed to notice that there are 3 bits, all the SAME SIZE in the package. (see pics) I just assumed they would be different sizes. Obviously, this it a pack for a commercial person who is going to lose them or hand them out to employees. Since I can’t actually use them, I can’t give a review on their durabilityor other attributes regarding their actual use. These are made in Taiwan (see package back picture).
