Works great. Only works on Makita XPS 2″ and longer bits (not the small ones you put into a magnetic bit holder).Tried it on Milwaukee Shockwave 2″ bit and it does not hold onto it.

This product is awesome, has strong magnetism and will hold standard screws very well. The bad reviews on this product are because they require you to use an extended drill bit so that the head sticks passed the magnet far enough to complety fill the screw head. YOU CANNOT USE THE SHORT DRILL BITS WITH THIS PRODUCT! As long as you understand that and use the correct length drill bit, this product performs perfectly. I cannot remember the size off the top of my head, but the correct drill bits are the torque rated, skinny center bits that are about 1/4”-1/2” of the torque portion from the shank. If you use non torque rated or small bits, the drill bit head will not fit into the screw head and you will either strip the screw, break the bit, or break this product. I picked up a 30 pack of Makita torque drill bits with this product for $15 and I havent even gone through 1 yet. Great investment, well worth the money, just be smart and understand how the product works and was designed and you will be satisfied!

amzing magnetic power this mag boost is better then the makita gold style mag boost love that its aluminum instead of plastic like the older models i have used this on 2 inch and 3 inch bits so far Philip 1 and 2 and 3 as well as torx 15 20 25 and 30 tested the magnet with 3 and 1/2 inch long torx 25 construction screws and wow on my Milwaukee m12 impact driver on setting 3 held on great as well as my dewalt impact driver speed 3 held on with no problems even moves the impact around while on full sped very powerful magnet very impressed

Makita had a booster that set close to the chuck and was much more expensive. This is similar to the dewalt design and sits touching the screw. I don’t know how well it works with bits that have the skinny center; I don’t use that kind. Mine are snug on the bit and hold screws at full speed.

Works well if you’re using a 1in driver bit but unless it wld be on like a multi driver bit screwdriver who actually uses a 1in bit?! With anything larger than 1in it holds okay “if” you can keep it positioned properly. The dewalt version is way better in my humble opinion but they must have discontinued it possible, I can’t find that version currently.
