Makita has been a very good brand. This set feels well made and of good quality. The sockets have a heft to them from good material. They fit very snugly in the rubber organizer which is nice so they don’t fall out. The size stamped in the side is a little light, not very deep, and makes it a little hard to see the size. Also would have been nice to include a few more smaller sizes and skip the biggest size or two. I am going to mark on the organizer the sizes so itll be easier to pick the right size faster.

For the price of twenty dollars I didn’t expect many uses out of the sockets, but they are still working and are not stripped out.

These impact sockets are great. I love the plastic molded case the come in. I can put them in my tool bag and they stay in place.

Although the sockets are not made in the U.S. the quality of the material and construction have a solid and resilient feeling. The sockets do not sit flush on the hex socket adapter and has a little bit of a wiggle to allow some give and take for the pressure applied by the impact driver drill. The ballbearing on the hex socket adapter head is a terrific feature that helps eliminate putting the socket on incorrectly. The socket sleeve houses each of the sockets very snuggly preventing them from getting misplaced or mixed up in your tool chest. You’ll need to give the socket a good tug to retrieve them from the sleeve but they slip back into their slot much more easily. The slim design of the socket sleeve aslo helps with storing and organizing the sockets in your tool chest or tool box.At first I was not certain that I would enjoy using the socket set after realizing I accidentally selected the Metric set. However, I quickly adapted to the conversion of inches to metric and got cracking on completing a couple small projects I had not yet completed in my garage. These sockets will become a vaulable time saving asset in my tool box when I tackle two bigger upcoming storage projects in my garage.

It would be nice if HD stopped tracking my credit card purchases and sending me emails to review items ‘I recently bought’, since like many couples my wife and I have the same credit card #. I’ll just pretend to be surprised when I unwrap it like I did with last years Christmas presents. I’m sure I’ll like it though…

Man these impact sockets are the real deal! Red color case for easy identification! I have a couple other sets of impact sockets but really wanted one set to bring around everywhere with me and something that would fit most sizes of lag bolts and common automotive bolts (I own a Japanese made car) and these Metric sizes are perfect! The exact sizes are 8,10,12,13,14,15,17,18 and 21mm and that is honestly perfect to keep in your car or it fits inside the hardcase that Makita includes with drill/driver combo kits! The protective finish on these are amazing, they are Black Oxide coated and are holding up great and I know will hold up for a very long time and wont just flake off like other cheaper socket sets. The last thing I love about this little set is that the 1/4 hex adaptor they include with the sockets and that it has its own spot in the red rubber holder, I can never find the adaptor when I need to use my impact driver with sockets so that is a really nice touch from Makita! Seriously I cant recommend these enough.

Best 3/8 impact sockets. Super impressed in the few weeks I’ve had these sockets wholly cow. Top quality socket at a bargain price you name it I’ve tried it. These sockets are the best bang for your buck and the holder is simple but works like a champ, I prefer the injected mold much better than the metal style, for me they always fall off and drive me insane. The adapter for a drill or impact driver is a big plus also, I used it to start my lug nuts on my suv with an impact driver before setting them to spec. I even put an adaptor to one with my monster 1/2 impact and the socket held up no problem. The fitment on the nuts are nice and snug with great gripping power million times better than my HF set. I’m 100% adding to the set I have, don’t think twice these are the perfect fit to your 3/8 impact or impact driver.

This is a nice basic socket set and each socket is neatly tucked away in a handy little package. They are well made and don’t feel cheap. The ONLY issue I have is not being able to visualize the numbers imprinted on each socket without pulling them out of the rubber case. The manufacturer could have printed numbers on the side, but you can do that too with a permanent marker. I would recommend this product to any DIYer to keep at home.

Mikita! I expect a perfect product because of that label. These impact sockets are 99% perfect. I tested them taking off lug nuts knowing that would require TORQUE! I drove in 3” lag bolts and also had perfect results. I’m close to 70 so I’ll share my only complaint. I need CONTRAST to read the socket size so I rubbed white paint on each socket to fill in the laser etched numbers on each socket. See photo. The set came with the Hex adapter needed for my impact driver.

These metric impact sockets are well made. The metal sidewalls are thicker than regular sockets. They are 6 point as all other impact sockets should be. These are 3/8 drive and come with an adapter for a 1/4 inch impact driver. Each socket is drilled for the ball retainer. I experienced no problems with the sockets staying on the driver. The sockets are deep enough for lug nuts. I was able to remove and install wheel lug nuts on my RAV4. This is the first time I have had this type socket holder. The soft plastic holds them tight and is an improvement over the hard plastic type. I can throw them in a bag or bucket and not worry about them getting lost. I have a suggested improvement — label the holder and mark the sockets better. I wrote the sizes on the holder and wiped white paint into the engraved socket numbers for easier identification. Overall these are good sockets.

Great set for the value, nice little socket holder, thick impact material only needs more sockets.Bb8

Very impressed with these impact sockets . We are building a shelter at a lake restraunt/entertainnent spot. We put in 10 concrete anchors on this project and 24 on twostwo other shelters on this project. These performed as well as a speciality socket we use, that’s made especially for anchor bolts . We could not find one thing these sockets lacked. I definatly recommend them.

This is my first Makita product I’ve used. It arrived well packaged and quickly. My first impression looking at it I was a bit disappointed in that the set skips some sizes. This includes 8,10,12,13,14,15,17,18,21. It skips 9, not really used on anything anyway, 11,16,19. Now I understand that if you also get a standard set you can use the 7/16 as an 11, 5/8 as a 16, and 3/4 as a 19 but I don’t like to carry a second set around just for a few sizes. I much prefer every size be included. Secondly, I found it very hard to read the sizes that were stamped into the sockets themselves. They were very lightly stamped and were not colored. I tried to take a picture to include but I couldn’t get the camera to even pick up the stamping, that’s how hard it was to see it. Those two things are why I only gave 4 stars. I ended up using a permanent marker and writing the sizes on the handy holder, which I must say is very nice. It holds the sockets well. Not too loose or too tight. As far as socket performance they worked very well and I had no issues. I used with my Dewalt 3/8” cordless impact and also tried the included hex-3/8 adapter in a traditional impact driver and had no issues. Despite skipping some sizes and having trouble reading the sizes of each socket, they performed well and got the job done. They seem to be very well made and I’m confident they’ll last a long time.
