The ImpactXPS 8-Piece 1/4 in. Drive 6-Point SAE Impact Socket Set features high-strength 6-point sockets designed to be used with impact driver, impact wrenches and ratchets. Sockets are made from heat-treated alloy steel combined with a black oxide coating to resist corrosion for longer life. ImpactXPS 6-point drive sockets are engineered for extreme torque applications. The socket set includes a standard socket adapter and a flexible boot that makes storage convenient for both the adapter and the sockets.

    Great little set! I happen to find it on sale even, so that was just an added bonus. But this set is made well and perfect for doing the little jobs, I’m extremely happy with this set.

    I have a few dedicated drivers but I use metric on the cars and there are a lot of different sizes on my cars, The soft organizer keeps the sockets and driver together and fits well in my pocket. the softness is kind to car paint and minimizes rattling. i haven’t used them enough to comment on longevity but Makita is a good brand. they should be fine.

    I bought this kit to go with my motorcycle. I got it because of the compact size of the socket holder. Its shorter than a ratchet. The sockets are good quality and fit snug on bolts.

    Have not had opportunity to use this set yet, but the sockets appear to be of similar solide quality to the 3/8 sets in metric and SAE. I was pleased to find this metric impact set, as they are not widely available, and this one was on sale. I needed a set for my Milwaukee Fuel 1/4 impact driver. I like the silicone holder to keep it all together in a compact fashion.

    The metric Makita Impact 8-Piece 1/4” drive socket set has been the best companion to my tool set. It comes with a red rubber holder so the sockets and bit adapter stay together, even when getting bounced around in my tool box. The sockets and bits are easy to removed from the holder when I need to use them. The sockets are well made and durable. One thing I wish would be improved is the labeling of the sockets. They are stamped with the size but it is difficult for my old eyes to see. Other than that I really like this set and recommend it to others.

    This Makita impact XPS 1/4 inch drive 6-point metric impact socket set with standard socket adapter comes with 8-pieces in a convenient red rubber holder which has a place for the 1/4 inch driver as well. The variety of socket sizes includes a 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, and 13mm impact sockets along with the 1/4 inch driver. Each socket fits into the rubber keeper. A quality made product.

    Bought this because the product description said 3/8″ drive x 1/4″ hex socket adapter, which caused me to believe 1) that it was a 3/8″ socket set; and 2) that I could use the adapter with a 3/8 chrome set for non-impact applications. In reality, this just a 1/4″ socket set and the adapter is a 1/4″ drive x 1/4″. It’s still worth what I paid for it, but HD needs to get its product descriptions right. I see they have updated the product name to include the correct drive, but the description still says it comes with a 3/8″ adapter.
