The ImpactXPS 8-Piece 1/4 in. Drive 6-Point SAE Impact Socket Set features high-strength 6-point sockets designed to be used with impact driver, impact wrenches and ratchets. Sockets are made from heat-treated alloy steel combined with a black oxide coating to resist corrosion for longer life. ImpactXPS 6-point drive sockets are engineered for extreme torque applications. I’ve had the other three sets (metric and SAE 3/8’s and SAE 1/4) for years, but the metric 1/4 set was never in stock anyplace I looked for it. Finally, I stumbled across it at my long Home Depot despite the web site saying there weren’t any there (it was with some clearance cordless tools, not with the attachments, so maybe it didn’t get inventoried right). I haven’t used it yet, but I’ve used the other three sets a lot and am very, very pleased with them, so I’m happy to give this a 5-star rating after just playing with it for a little while.
