I just got this and have only used it once, but so far, I love it! I bought this because of the 4-stroke engine and I’m really happy with it. The engine is relatively quiet, which I wanted too. The straps are well padded and the whole thing seems well-made. I was bummed at first that it doesn’t have a hip belt, but it reallly doesn’t need it because it’s pretty light actually and it didn’t shift around at all on my back. It starts easily, fits comfortably, and I carried it on my back easily for over an hour. I’m a 5’7″ woman. It both got stuck on grass clippings and acorns off the driveway and moved a big pile of leaves I made. I didn’t think I would like the hip throttle, but it was easy and convenient to use. Adjusting the throttle all the way down makes it perfect for cleaning up the walkway near the house. I got a lot of work done today using it on my 3 acres. If the only thing you want it to do is move mountains of leaves, then this may not be the machine for you. But for me, the cfm’s are strong enough to clear my driveway well, and the 184 mph is good enough to create piles of leaves that I’ll tarp and drag away. It’s a strong, well-balanced machine and I’m really pleased with it.

Exactly what I was looking for. Starts up immediately, runs great, not heavy.

Excellent piece of equipment. Probably overkill for the average homeowner but I don’t want to rake.

This machine has all the power of a 2-cycle with half the noise & it’s much easier to start.

I just used this for the first time to do my first round of leaf clean-up. It is very powerful with low vibration. There’s no way my old blower would have been able to move those wet leaves around like this one. It is a bit on the heavy side, but that’s a sacrifice you’ll have to make for a 2.4hp 4-stroke. The back and shoulder pads are very comfortable though, which makes the extra weight acceptable. It starts smoothly on the very first pull.

Not the most powerful but works great for me. Replaces a 15 year old Makita blower. 4 stroke runs and starts great. Good price.

Returned it. It was the wrong model. Be careful when your order one. Take a hard look at throttle configuration. Reordered and got the unit with throttle on the air tube. It works great.

I am a homeowner with about 1 acre of fully landscape/hardscape area. Bought 1 month ago.Pros:1. 4 stroke engine, very quiet, no need for ear plug.2. Easy to assemble and start. 3. No need to prepare mixed oil, plain gas and engine oil.4. Very good power. Sufficient for my work. 5. Not heavy, comfortable pads 6. Will recommend ‘hip throttle’ (speed/velocity of air control) so that both hands can be used (one for throttle & another for moving the nozzle) without straining on hand. Slightly heavier in this configuration, but I believe no one will notice.7. Packed well for shipment.Cons: 1. Instruction manual is an overlap of ‘hip throttle’ and ‘tube throttle’ not very clear but one can figure out. 2. Instruction manual calls for 140 mL of engine oil, please use 100 mL, measured with the provided marked bottle.

Great blower, easy start and CFM is impressive for the weight and size of this Makita. No more mixing oil! Good job packing power in a 4 stroke blower. I would highly recommend

The blower is working good and easy to operate.

I don’t think I get 184 MP air blowing out. When restarting right after using it, it does not want to restart to easy. The shoulder strap are lose, it could use a clipping strap between the two.

Blower is awesome. Quiet, easy to use. Powerful, definitely feels like commercial style blower.

Very easy to start. Lots of power. I also have a smaller makita blower still runs great after 18 years. I chose this one since the other one was so reliable. New driveway is 1/8th mile and this made a huge difference in time blowing the leaves off versus my smaller one.

Easy to assemble, light weight, plus you don’t need to mix oil in the fuel (my big plus). It also has a switch for winter use, so you can blow light snow off of the driveway.

This blower has a good design, but it’s making an annoying sound, reason why I only gave it four stars.
