The Makita 14 in. Power Cutter Power Pack (model EK7301X1; includes 14 in. diamond blade) is a gas powered cutter engineered to meet the demand for convenience and performance. The EK7301 delivers with fast starting, more power and improved fuel economy. Its 4.5 cu. in. (73 cc) engine with 5.1 max HP and a no-load speed of 9350 RPM is designed to take on the most demanding applications. The ignition coil with start-support function stores electrical power with each pull for easier start-ups. It’s engineered for reduced flooding with a carburetor that includes an improved deco-valve and metering spring for precise fuel regulation at start-up. It also features more efficient fuel consumption with an SLR muffler that recycles unburned fuel vapor for reduced scavenging losses and 15% improved consumption.

- Cushioned operator grips with four vibration-absorption rubber buffers for increased comfort
- Microchip-controlled carburetor designed to compensate engine timing according to work load
- Aluminum guard and wheel pressure plates help reduce weight
- Starter grip decompression valve for fast starting
- Water kit is assembled to saw and can be used with garden hose, gravity tank or pressure tank

This thing is AMAZING! its so fast! think I got twice the work done with this saw compared to the one I replaced with this one! It runs so smooth and a lot easier to start as well. Makita also did a great job of placing the wheels at the bottom, you can place it down and leave it running on flat ground and not worry about it trying to run away on you; and then when our ready to gut again you can just tilt the handle up a little bit ad leave he weight of he saw on the wheels and let the saw do the work!

It worked well for 2 days, then the pull cord wouldn’t work. Home Depot made it right by giving me a refund. It may have just been a defect because Makita is a good brand. I bought something else to finish my project.

When I first got the saw when I tried to do the initial startup it would not start after further review I found the spark plug has been over tightened so tight that it ruin the spark plug so I had to buy another one then the fuel line was getting pinched off to get to the carburetor from the tank so
