This drill was exactly what I was looking for. It’s fast, strong and the light is a nice added feature.

I picked this up at my local store yesterday. I’ll never drywall without one of the guns ever again. It’s well worth the price in time savings and final product quality. GET ONE!

It’s predecessor permitted easily changing bits. This one is difficult. The old guide, you slipped off the depth guide, changed bits, and slipped the guide back on. On this one, you need to unscrew the depth guide, use a pliers and a vise to remove the old bit, insert the new bit, rescrew the depth guide onto the housing, and then readjust the depth on the depth guide.

I just purchased the product and used it all day. The product is super stable to use. Has an amazing feel when using overhead. The price was great. But for me the best thing was the LED light. I have used multiple Drywall Screw Guns in the past. None of them had an LED. I will never go back to a Non-LED Drywall Screw Gun ever again.

Got fed up with trying to hang sheet rock with an electric drill. Even tried an impact driver! Went on line, checked out screw guns and the Makita was highly rated for the asking price. I purchased the Makita and worked it hard. Well worth the $ spent and the time spent driving to go pick it up!

I am a DIYer and had never had the opportunity to use a drywall screwgun, I had always used a cordless electric drill with a sheetrock limiter in it. By using the electric drill I was used to forcing the screw into the 2×6 stud, as such I thought it was necessary to exert the same amount of force on the screwgun. After I found that you don’t have to be “Magilla-gorilla” to use the screwgun life became much easier. Now even my wife can set screws the right depth with the Makita. It is light, easily maneuvered and very fast. I would buy again. Thanks

Excellent gun, it’s light enough, fits perfectly in the palm of your hand for super control. Had a Porter:Cable which I had for at least 15 years, reverse went picked up this Makita, and so far Love it.

Bougjt this screwgun mostly for assembling woodworking projects. Used it to build my workbench and storage caninets. Sinks three inch screws into 2×4’s with ease and will do it all day long. Good value from this screwgun as the more popular brands cost more. Some annoying quirks though. First, changing bits requires pliers to pull the old bit out. Second, the depth guide doesnt stay firmly in place, mine comes off way too easy requiring resseting. Also, for my purpose a lower rpm/higher torque gearing would be preferred but i guess the guys hanging sheetrock all day prefer the higher speed to speed up the job.
