The Makita 4 in. Angle Grinder has a 6 Amp motor that maintains performance during extended use and grinds at speeds up to 11,000 RPM for the most demanding applications. Weighing only 3.1 lbs. and equipped with a small barrel grip of only 2-1/4 in. plus an angled side handle, it offers great control and comfort. The grinder incorporates labyrinth construction and Zigzag varnish to seal and protect the motor and bearings from dust and debris.

Since the day i got it, took off the guard, went bigger flange and been using all 4 1/2 in cut off wheels and grind wheels. Rigid makes a metal cutting wheel that actually lasts n isnt a bank breaker and works awesome with this unit. My first angle grinder and its been put through the ringer with no hiccups or drop in power. Highly worth the money and even comes with a hard case! Only gripe on the whole package… case is super form fitting so having things in exact location for the lid to lock is crucial

Exactly what I needed! It came with a great grinder wheel and I bought a sanding kit attachment and a diamond blade for cutting steel and some gloves (later) to add to this this kit and now I don’t need anything else for a very long time. First time fabricating stuff and loved it!

The small barrel size is critical in control of the the tool. The 4 inch grinder is more versatile than the 4 1/2 or larger units due to it’s ability to be used in close quarters and there are more choices in wheels for different jobs. The convertible multi arbor size is a major plus as well.

The grinder is really good, but you need to get a Cyclone Mesh Rim Diamond Blade for Porcelain, than its an every day tool. Works like cutting butter with a sharp knife. Works on porcelain, brick, plaster, plywood, wood!
