The Makita 4 in. Angle Grinder has a 6 Amp motor that maintains performance during extended use and grinds at speeds up to 11,000 RPM for the most demanding applications. Weighing only 3.1 lbs. and equipped with a small barrel grip of only 2-1/4 in. plus an angled side handle, it offers great control and comfort. The grinder incorporates labyrinth construction and Zigzag varnish to seal and protect the motor and bearings from dust and debris.

I can give the rating of good because it functions well and was comfortable to hold and handle. The one reason I reduced the rating from excellent is, when I had to turn on the grinder with my left hand I could not successfully do so. I had to lift the grinder up out of the small opening I was in, then turn it on with my right hand, then I could continue. This technique bothered me due to the distance I had to take the grinder away from the work area just to turn it on. Otherwise, I did like that the switch was a flip switch. Therefore I do like using this tool, just not for tight spots.

I use this grinder for tile work and light metal fabrication. Absolutely love this tool. My favorite part is the fact your can turn the tool on and use both hands to control it. No need to keep your thumb on the power button. It is either ON or OFF. Great product great price!
