I used it for cutting and grinding concrete. It got the job done.It is a beast. If using indoors or around window openings, be prepared for a lot of dust.

By far the highest quality angle grinder out there. Next time you are in the store do yourself a favor and pick up each of the angle grinders in the tool section and you will immediatley tell the difference in the quality of the build of this grinder vs the others. Purchased a ridgid originally because of the bells and whistles and when i got home and started to play around with it i was unhappy with the build. Then i discovered the home depot app and began researching products and reading reviews before buying things like smart people do.

Needed a grinder to do some concrete work. This Makita did the trick. Good quality, good price.

I’ve always had good luck with Makita tools and this grinder is no exception. It’s powerful but yet feels balanced when using it. It grinds right through concrete without hesitating.

Good, solid machine. Very smooth and controllable. Its heavy but that is useful for a tool that is used to grind a floor. I used it to remove 400 sq. ft. of non-skid from a boat. Would have like a locking trigger. Used it with a Dustless Technology’s dust shroud and Rigid segmented grinding wheel.

This thing is a monster that will devour anything you give it.

Easy to use for cutting brick and mortar in small space. Large 7” saw blade made sawing relatively deep.

It’s a workhorse and lots of power, but I don’t love the trigger on it. Makita makes great stuff and I like better than the yellow and black it replaces. I am sure it will last longer than the yellow and black.

Bought it to grind down 1/2” of concrete over a 25 sq ft patch. Worked great, took about 2.5 hours and 1 1/2 diamond cup wheels.
