These don’t last as long as the grinders of 10 to 15 years ago. They work well as long as they last. The plastic around the brush holders melts and turns side ways. Bearings seem to go bad more quickly. We figure we get our money’s worth out of them, so we keep buying them. Seems like they discontinue products that work well for us, and come out with models that don’t work quite as well. We used to buy the 9020. We are a concrete cutting company. They get heavy use.

Makita makes excellent grinders. This is a beast and will be used hard.
