I purchased the Makita Die Grinder to use for detail work on my chain saw carving hobby. My hope was that the Makita Die Grinder would help with detailing the facial features on my carvings. The Makita Die Grinder did not disappoint me, works as advertised. Quiet operation, light weight, easy to handle and a really nice feature is the rubberized nose for gripping. I’m using it to make a Maloof sculptured rocker. It works fine. It is stout and weighs a little more than I would like but I imagine if it was lighter I would feel more vibration so it is a trade off.
