Great product for the price. I needed a drill to handle any job at a vacation home. This is comparable in performance to a drill I spent three times the money on! Handles concrete well and lightweight for any job

As a homeowner who will likely pull this drill out for use a few times per year, I’m happy with this Makita. I initially purchased to drill pilot holes for tap cons into brick / mortar and it made quick work of that jon. Seems like it’ll last me a while.

I have owned this tool since 2010. It is good for small home projects. I loved it for the hammer drill capability. I would not buy if I needed this on a daily or weekly basis. It won’t take the beating. I noticed that it started to smell electrical when I used it over the summer to mix stucco. I just fried the brushes in it mixing a small amount of concrete. I will buy another Makita but will be buying a better version.

The drill met my expectations and performed the task as needed. I look forward to long service from this tool as Makita in my tools from the past have been quality. That was the main reason I chose this brand.

This tool really works drilling into really hard concrete where I couldn’t get a nail gun to work. I’m very happy with it’s performance.

Putting in a Pergola and needed to drill base plates for posts through concrete that was 5 inch thick. It did the job no complaints. I originally purchased a Ryobi hammer drill that that quit working on the 3rd hole. Took it back to the store and got this Makita.

Average horsepower and hammering action felt underpowered. Used this to drill holes into my basement concrete walls for anchor screws. Did OK but took a lot of elbow grease to complete the task. Overall, not impressive. It also sounds raspy when operating (not from the hammer setting) like it wasn’t fully lubricated. Chuck and key tended to slip when tightening. I’ve had a regular Makita corded drill since the late 80’s and it’s still going strong. I don’t have that expectation on this drill. Hopefully it will last to finish my basement wall.

Drill is light and easy to assemble. Pounds thru the concrete with ease. Great tool.

It works, and is fine for the price, but I was drilling through some old tough concrete and I didn’t feel that the hammer feature was hard enough to drill quickly through tougher pieces of aggregate. Additionally, the chuck for changing bits slips when tightening the head and is showing wear already

I was quite impressed with the power of this small drill. I had rented a real beast of a drill for a similar job a few years back and wasn’t sure the Makita could handle it. No worries, the Makita drilled right through 8″ of concrete with a little more effort than the beast, but it did the job! Highly recommended.

Really good drill straight out the box re-decked 3 equipment trailers back to back and never gave me one problem

Powerful and easy to use. Side handle is very useful, in tough jobs. Drawback is weight.
