Pretty nice tool from reputable manufacture for small money. Just what I needed for various projects when battery operated drills aren’t enough. My first project for this power drill was holes in the quartz. It worked great. My only complain is that trigger tends to stuck causing motor to rotate very slowly. I wonder if anyone else encountered that problem? It is not a deal breaker for me, but obviously the tool design or assembly is not flawless.I own it too short to speak about longevity of this drill but I trust Makita.

Changes from hammer drill to drill with the flip of a button. Light weight. More powerful than my 1/2″ regular drill. Great addition to the power tools.

I needed a drill for concrete, and wanted it to be electric. This one worked out great.

Well, I don’t have much to compare it against except my porter cable brushless drill. I needed this to use hole saws through 3/4″ common board. I used some harbor freight hole saws that I thought sucked until I used this drill with them. In the video I had already flipped the board over. (it’s always better to flip over and finish hole from other side…makes it way easier to remove the core and to just finish the hole). Anyway great Makita drill. Last time I had a Makita product it was a 9.6v drill i think when I was 12. I’m not a pro just a hobbyist.

It did not come close to the Milwaukie ( sorry about the spelling) that my wife got in the divorce but it did OK for small jobs. Had a hard time getting the bit to stay secured in the chuck. Had to keep getting out the key and tightening up the chuck. If you get it on sale and only need a hammer drill once in a while, it will work for you. If you need to drill into “old” concrete that has cured for 10+ years then you may have a problem. And yes, in case you did not know, concrete continues to cure for many years. Hope this helps.

I bought this drill because I needed a small hammer Drill for multiple jobs around my house. I have an older home built 1929 and it is brick and concrete so I use alot of masonry bits. I chose it because the reviews were good on it and the issues seem small and unimportant, also it has a 5/8″ chuck rather than a 1/2″.. I would recommend this tool to anyone looking for a small variable hammer drill/ straight drill. Great tool and good price.

Great all around. I used it a lot both regular and hammer drill for concrete.Only downside for me personally is I lost the wrench and now it’s time to replace the head and I’m unable to get off the head with normal wrenches. Going to have to buy a new one. So sad.
