It is equipped with precision-machined aluminum base for planning accuracy and double-edge carbide blades.

I have a few planers, this one I bought a while back to only use as a finish planer for smaller reclaimed lumber pieces, Ex 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 3/4” inch boards etc. I’ve now used it several times for that purpose and it’s been absolutely excellent. My planing is very shallow and with a few careful passes. I read some of the negative reviews, the dust ejection is a minor issue for me, I plane mostly outside.

Purchased this when replacing 21 doors in the house. Worked really good, nearly every door had to be trimmed (the joys of contractor doors). Only Problem as others have mentioned is the lack of Vacuum attachment, would be a lot better with some sort of mount – But in comes Duct Tape, which works but not the best, and a little slip of the tape and you’ll put a gouge in your shopvac tubing…JUST BE CAREFUL.

I used the planer to plane some trim for a pocket door that was sticking. It was the perfect tool for the job. I only needed to take about 1/32″ to get clearance, and the fine adjustment provided by the tool worked great. I’m glad I made the purchase.
