The 12-Volt MAX CXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Vacuum Kit (LC09A1) combines power and run time in an ultra-compact size. The 12-Volt MAX CXT platform gives users a more compact solution with more comfort and capacity. At only 14-1/8 in. L, the vacuums compact design weighs only 3.7 lbs. to reduce operator fatigue. The LC09A1 delivers up to 33-minutes of continuous use from a single fully charged 2.0 Ah battery (BL1021B), with strong suction power for fast and efficient cleaning. This vacuum features three suction power modes, push button power selector and a bag-less 2-stage cloth filtration system for easier cleaning and quick debris disposal. For longer run time, 12-Volt MAX CXT cordless tools are also compatible with the 12-Volt MAX CXT Lithium-Ion 4.0 Ah battery (BL1041B). 12-Volt MAX CXT Lithium-Ion batteries are engineered with a Battery Protection Circuit that protects against overloading, over-discharging and over-heating. Its part of the expanding 12-Volt MAX CXT series, combining performance with superior ergonomics in a compact size.

Works great for me!I’m a fire alarm tech all of the 12 volt makita tools work great for me. The vacuum is great when I’m done trimming out panels it cleans up any excessive metal shavings or drywall dust. Some times I mount devices or conduit on drywall it’s nice to pick up drywall dust. But honestly the best feature is the weight all of the 12 volt tools are so light for a person who occasionally uses power tools these 12 volt makita tools work great!

This is the same charger Makita includes standard in CXT combo kits. It‘s really compact and does what it’s supposed to, but their own Rapid Optimum CXT chargers (not listed on HD at time of review but hopefully will come back) can charge twice as fast in the same compact package for not a lot more money. Or there’s also Makita’s combo LXT/CXT Rapid Optimum charger which allows users to charge an additional battery platform, but that is bigger and a little more spendy. I do think this “standard” CXT charger is still a decent value when included in the package price of a kit, but I would not pay for one separately myself when Makita has much faster chargers available.
