Blade has extremely clean cuts. Very good value for the money.

This is a very good saw blade for making mitered cuts in baseboards, moldings, and casings. The cut is so fine, sanding of the cut edge isn’t really necessary.

Cuts well on my ls1016l. Gotta love Makita

I have been doing my research with a lot of product but this one stood out and after I purchased it now know why. At first I thought I would be bias because I own a lot of tools of this brand but this saw is perfect and is easy to use and move around. Do I recommend this saw, I sure do.

Very easy to work with. Great power to cut all types of wood.

It did everything that I thought it would do. I got a 60 tooth blade on my sliding Mikita saw and it worked great.

Super nice and smooth

I like the ease of cutting and the slide bars. The adjustments are real simple ie. changing the bevel angles.

Just received shipment of the New LS1018. Finally had to bury my Hitachi CF82B after 22 years of rock solid service. About the Makita, I decided to upgrade to a 10 inch slider from my 8-1/2 inch. I recently purchased the newer Dewalt 10 inch Jobsite saw after also putting to rest a 8-1/2 inch Makita table saw.I read the reviews, largely mixed, on the LS1016 and did not want the risk.Pros:Out of the box, the saw’s settings were dead on. The blade, only a 40 tooth, will be good for rough materials but not for trim work. The rail mount and base are solid, no play whatsoever. Again brand new, so time will tell. No blade wobble. I heard in numerous reviews this was an issue with the LS1016.The indents are secure.Cons:No light or laser. I am not a big laser fan but an led would be nice. The rail operation is not very smooth, especially when you get beyond 8 inches. It becomes extremely rough. It could be packing grease or again just needs a break in period. Rotating the table is very stiff and hard to make single degree adjustments. The mount for the depth setting is not aligned with trenching tab.The cord end should have had the capture clasp that is pretty standard on all large power tools. The dust bag closure system is quirky and will not hold up like a quality zipper. Conclusion:Again, this is a new saw to me. I will be putting it to a lot more service in the future. I think Makita cut some engineering corners on this saw. 13amp instead of keeping the15amp, Taped on degree indicator, cord and dust bag issues previously mentioned. Hitachi set the bar high over 25 years ago with quality albeit Japanese made. Hope this Makita will make it through my twilight carpentry years.

Saw seems to be a good compromise between capability, weight, and blade diameter. I have 10-inch tablesaw, and wanted a common blade. Saw used styrofoam packaging which I dislike. Not recyclable where I live; filled an entire garbage can.

Smooth cuts on 1 x 12 red oak. Great for fine ripping.

The purchase through Home Depot online was flawless. I received text messages when my order was confirmed, shipped and when it arrived. The saw is amazingly east to learn and work. It’s nice and sturdy, doesn’t have the cheaply made feeling. I’m very happy so far. The only downfall is the blade was only 40t and had to purchase another for finnish work.

This is an excellent miter saw in all respects: durability, price-point, features, ease-of-use. In the months since I purchased this saw, I have used it to cut various types of molding and to build all manner of backyard projects requiring some very tricky miter cuts. I have carried the saw around to various places (yes, it is heavy, and I am 67, but I can easily lift it and carry it around if need be). I haven’t had to bolt it down or otherwise attach it to anything while working; it is solid. I have found that the pre-set angles are very reliable, and I have had no problems setting and making any manner of custom angle. I love it!
