I returned the saw… it felt cheap to me… just my opinion topically I’m a fan of the Makita brand.

The degree measurement wasn’t accurate. It needs more detaile

I bought it for picture framing. It makes great cuts on both hardwood and aluminum material. Cuts are very fine and do not show any chipping.

Saw was excellent out of the box. Alignment was perfect. This is the 9th power tool I have purchased from Makita and I have never experienced an issue. Won’t ever buy anything else.

i have two other 10” saws so it made no sense to buy anything but another 10” saw for a miter saw. Good saw , nice feel and great performance.

The saw works great! No the smoothest slide on it but more than gets the job done.

Even with steady speed of cut the blade still has rip out, even on oak.

Bought this saw recently for some new housework, and have used it extensively over the past couple of weeks. No complaints at all – I’ve used it to cut trim, base boards, 11 1/2″ oak planks, and paneling. Cuts are smooth and dead-on accurate. The saw is also relatively light, making it easy to haul up and down the stairs to different locations. This is a great product that I would highly recommend.

A very good saw. The only downfall is the dust collecting system. Seems there was more sawdust on the floor than in the dust bag.

My Makita is easy to assemble, and although it’s a big heavy it’s very easy and comfortable to work with but my work is easier.

Drill is super handy. Easy to use, assemble, operate and fairly good price.

Good saw, surprisingly light for a slider but that is due to the aluminium base. Will have to be careful as it does not seem that it will hold up to much abuse. Overall well designed with nice features at this price point.Had to reset the factory adjustments because it was off a little right out of the box. No big deal because I frequently check the settings before cutting any expensive wood anyway.Do yourself a favor and get a nice 60 tooth or more blade to go with it and you will be much happier with the way it cuts.I’m kind of a tool snob so I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars only because I would have rather had a steel base on it for durability. Maybe the aluminium will be fine, only time will tell.

A real disappointment from Makita. These are not in the stores to check-out before buying, I ordered one through H.D.and it came in a week later. When I opened the box to set it up the first thing I noticedwas the poor fit and finish, nothing like the old Makita tools I have, some 40 years old. But, I set it on my miter stand and started to check the saw out. Everything was off,I was able to re-set the miter and tilt by adjustments, easy to do. Then I noticed thatthe fence was not at 90 degree’s to the table, it tilted back at the top about 1/16″.At that point I re-boxed and returned it. Home Depot return’s are easy.I suppose this would be a good saw for carpentry, although not accurate enoughfor the woodworking that I do. It’s a shame Makita tools are now made in China.
