The Makita 10 in. Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw with Laser (model LS1019L) delivers large cutting capacity and accuracy right out of the box. With the LS1019L, you will get all the cutting performance you need in a slide compound saw, but with the most compact size in the category for increased portability. With up to 6-5/8 in. capacity (crown molding, nested) jobs like cutting baseboards and crown molding are a snap, but with up to 4-3/4 in. baseboard, capacity, it can cut 4 x 4 dimensional lumber in 1-pass. This Saw was easy to unbox and get ready for use, it was my first Miter Saw, I am just getting into wood working, and this saw has made it so much easier. Set up was quick and true, I went right to work, and built my first table. Cutting 2X10’s, and even 4X4’s clean and true with ease. I recommend this saw to anyone from beginner to job site contractors.

Excellent saw. Easy adjustments to square up the fence to the blade. Smooth operation, great dust collection. I really love this saw.

Best saw I have ever owned!
Dannie Wintheiser (verified owner) –
Very accurate cuts, minimizes bench space.
Furman Wisoky (verified owner) –
Excellent saw so far, dust collection system is great. Only drawback is that the upper fence portion is non sliding and needs to be removed when making bevel cuts.

Setup out of box was excellent. Only the laser needed adjustment. The two wheels on the miter stand are a joke at best. Already flipped over and scratched up my new saw while trying to wheel it.

Out of the box the saw did not cut straight or square. I adjusted the rails to get the blade to run true/straight and then adjusted the miter scale to square it up to the fence. Cuts straight and square now. Does Makita have room for improvement (e.g. accessories)? Absolutely. They’re headed in the right direction though.

Good piece. Very accurate right out of the box. Has very serious dust collection issues. If its not hooked up to a vacuum you have a mess

It works most of the time, but sometimes fires inconsistent not driving the nail all the way, or jamming.

This miter saw is the best I’ve ever used! I love it!!!

Does everything I need. No complaints.

I have not used the saw yet. I am certain it is a huge improvement over the miter saw I had been using. The ability to use a dust collector is a huge plus. I rated it 4 stars because the set up was confusing to me. An instruction manual is with the machine, but it is difficult to read due to the tiny print. The booklet has good illustrations, but they are so tiny that a magnifying glass is necessary to see all of the labels for the parts and then follow the lines back to the parts.

I very much like the smooth start. It required a little adjusting to get everything square but seems to keep consistent cuts.
Vern Shields (verified owner) –
Smooth starts, cuts through wood like a hot knife through butter!!Especially like how little sawdust goes into the air when using a vacuum!Just be sure to use the highest volume vacuum you can get. Really helps!
Dorian Pouros (verified owner) –
Yes I was very easy to put it together!!
Kaci King (verified owner) –
To install the blade, for the first time, I had to use a half inch ratchet and about 80 foot pounds of torque to get the nut off. The log notes on a car are easier.
