This is an excellent saw. It has more metal than other saws and very little plastic.it’s lightweight and easy to carry. It has plenty of power and will cut any size wood most people would use a chop saw for. The sawdust collector is extra large and works well.I have been thinking about a makita chop saw for a couple of years and now I bought it I’m delighted.

Very good out of the box. I suggest getting a stand with it. Doesn’t cut larger boards. 3 1/2 inch about max at 45 degree angle. Easy to transport. Nice and small.

I like the safety features of the saw as well as the hold down arm that aids in making accurate cuts. The saw is light, which is good and bad. It’s easy to carry, but the saw’s light footprint makes it easy to slide around. I plan to secure it to a heavy wood base to address the sliding issue

For everyday shop or field use, this miter saw fits the bill just fine. I don’t cut large crown molding, so I don’t need the sliding rails or 10” blade. It’s light enough to move around from room to room if needed, and makes accurate cuts. Great saw.
