Powerful and precise with a 6 Amp motor and 11,000 RPM, the Makita Plate Joiner cuts through a variety of wood quickly. The rack-and-pinion vertical fence system is engineered for accurate fence adjustments and the cast aluminum pivot fence has three positive stops at 0°, 45° and 90°. Easy to use with a ergonomic design for comfort, blade changes are quick and easy for less downtime. The blade diameter is 4 in. with a maximum cutting depth of 0.75 in. and there are six depth settings with 1-touch stops for the most common biscuit sizes including #0, #10 and #20.

I had one previously. It just stopped working. I took it to the repairman at Home depot and he couldn’t fix it. I used it, put it up in the case and when I took it out to use it again, it would not work..I like the Makita joiner and since I am familiar with it, I chose to buy another one.

I have used it several times and it works amazing. The only thing I am a bit disappointed in is the bag gets full of saw dust after 4-5 small use. Would suggest a dust collector system to attach to it. Other then that I love this thing. Well worth the money and it works so good on hardwood and is a monster on soft woods

I did a lot of shopping and reviewing of biscuit joiners before buying this one and glad I did! I build furniture and this is one of the best choices I’ve made in tools! It’s easy to use right out of the box. Has great safety features, which is good because this thing could cause serious damage. All the adjustments are easy and stays adjusted. If I could find one thing about it that could use some improvement is the bed is a wee bit short. A couple of times I didn’t press down hard enough on it, or clamp it, and the blade shifted slightly during the cut. But that’s more operator error. All in all it’s a great tool and creates really accurate joints.
